AI Plugin for AUTOMATIC Sky Replacement vs Photoshop! New: I purchased Luminar 4 today and it is pure crap! Now for those of you reading my comment you can trust my opinion on this because I'm not being paid to sell this crap program.
I ordered it this afternoon and downloaded it and so far I have had to download and remove it from my computer three times and I've also had to use the repair feature of the program three times as well. Now after the 4th download it still doesn't work. Not only does the program not work it doesn't link to Photoshop CS6 as a plug-in even though the company said it would. Pure crap, don't waste your money!

Sky replacement of Luminar is okay, if you only work with a resolution of 72ppi Jpeg or 96dpi Photoshop format. I work with 300ppi/dpi and sometimes 450ppi/dpi resolution and the original Luminar AI skies totally pixelate. If I use my own high resolution skies, they don't pixelate, but I have a huge seam around each object that pixelates. I have this problem with every photo. It is definitely the software. For my use Luminar (I use the latest version of AI) sky replacement is not useful at all. However, I like all other features that are perfect.

The software doesn't work. Can you help? I've been trying to get it to work but it doesn't. I've contacted support which did NOTHING. I'm so frustrated because I feel I just waisted my time and money on something that seemed liked it was gonna make a big difference in my work. All it has done is cause me a headache. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired, restarted. Nothing is working. I'm not the only one with these problems. I've a number of reviews and they are all the same. $89. 00 for a headache. Please help.

I can clearly see that you are a master at post-processing using Luminar and PhotoShop. The thing is that your video is lighting fast. Keeping up with you is absolutely impossible. Therefore, I learned almost nothing unless I go back and pause, pause, pause until I get the picture. Would you be interested in making new videos at a slower pace? Thank you.

I was debating whether to purchase Luminar, as most of the actions you can do in Photoshop and Unmesh has taught these already. But after downloading the trial and using it for 5 minutes, I went ahead and purchased. I edited two images and it cut my workflow by about 75%. Thanks for the information.

Before buying this I suggest googling luminar reboot and check skylum's own forums to see if they've fixed the instant forced reboot that quite a few of us have been having. Seems to have been going on for months, and skylum don't seem to have a clue. Update from 4. 2 to 4. 3 has not fixed it.

im gonna share my story, cause why not, lol. I've been watching photoshop tutorials and love replacing skies with it, took me more than an hour to get the edit done, hell with luminar, life was faster. hope everyone to discover this tutorial right away than wasting time doing it bit by bit

Love your video's Unmesh! But why not replace the sky with BLEND IF BLUE? You get more softness in replacing the sky. You would need some masking to save the blue non-sky parts and still, it's way slower then Luminar. but that is my normal way of replacing skies. Thanks!

Hi Unmesh, i just bought the Luminar 4 and when i used it an environmental portrait, then the sky is coming on top of the portrait. but I dint see that in your tutorial. Am i doing something wrong?

This is cool and all but kills the photograph. If you have to photoshop the hell out of your pictures, then maybe you need to learn how to use it and find the timing and moments first.

I feel like a complete hack right now I've been doing things fully manually erasing skies down to the pixel. I think I need to borrow you for a month to get me caught up lol

Make a editing video about turning normal color image into fine art Black And White image.
I think lots of people wants to know that.
Just reply what you think.

This is so fake. So instead of taking a great photo, let's fake the crap out of it and make the people who spend efforts to take a great picture like idiots.

It's a huge time saver application but it requires huge processing power.
I'm using AMD Athlone 2 and it takes almost 15 minutes to export a single image

Where do you get your sample images from? I need quiet a lot for face retouch/eye retouch. Best websites for it?
PS: Another great video, thanks!

This was one of the best demonstrations of how to use Luminar 4 and what it can do that I have seen! Thank you much! And please do more Unmesh!
reply

please, someone help. can i get luminar 4 for free? any site for that? i didnt purchase photoshop either, i use the pirated version.

what would be even more impressive is if it matched the reflections in the misty image too. I get that that's kinda impossible though

I feel an idiot for asking, but this presenter is an animated cartoon character right? He looks so realistic at times. Very clever.

'm glad you included hair with sky/background replacements. Neither ON1 2020 pr Photoshop do a satisfactory job with messy hair.
