Horrible background color (the dark blue on the image, but awesome tutorial as always! I've achieved similar results with simply using a gradient map (the amount of color steps in the gradient = the amount of zig zags, or inverting the layer, then using a simple gradient map. Would be interesting to compare all methods for the chrome effect. Maybe use a background with similar tone or value, however, so that the subject blends in a little more naturally.

This is amazing! Thank you so much, you've opened up my perspectives to a lot of stuff that I've wanted to do for a long time. I was wondering if the end result could be copied with exaggerated highlights and the blended on top of this in order to make the statue glow as well, as gold would.

wow, amazing how easy it was. but only with your preset, without that I didn't manage the curves well. thank you very much for this video, i will use this effect in my next videos. keep it up, good work. ps: you seem very personable, that makes the video even better.

FIRST TIME I NOTICE A MISTAKE FROM YOU! :D
The drop shadow position and the light are not correct. The light should've come from the left side and the shadow should drop on the right side according to the subject's shadows and highlights.

The effect works really well, and saved me on a recent project. Oddly, though, the striations in the gold had a lot of artifacts (stair-stepping edges) that aren't there in the high res photo. I'm wondering if there's some way to avoid that.

Id really enjoy your videos if you went a little bit slower. to try to follow along or take notes, see where you click is really hard when youre not 100% aware of where all the tools are.

Hey Unmesh, what exactly is the purpose of having the hue/saturation at 1: 28? You mentioned that it is about removing impurities however we don't see any difference

I can't get the gold effect when doing this on models, she only get sickly orange, does this only work with white statues?

Please review remove (dot) bg, and please also show us a simple way to make a wet skin effect. Plastic wrap is really not helping much. Thanks in advance.
