You are the god of Photoshop!
This lesson raises the question of generally What is a good workflow?
For example a common task in my job is taking product shots (framed paintings/artwork/textile samples) taken in a wide range of circumstances and lighting conditions, to give a common accurate appearance:
Straightening, Lens correcting to square up rectangular objects, deep etching to a transparent background, fixing contrast, color correcting, reducing grain in lower light images, producing a range of resolutions, sharpening and systematically naming and tagging the image.
Is this the optimal order and is there a better method to get this done? eg An adjustable action that lets me tweak the basic steps to speed up the process?

Completely agree on applying liquify in the end!
But why not create a duplicate file and place the entire color corrected psd in there as a linked smart object and apply liquify there?
Now every time you change your original color-corrected psd, the version in the liquify will get update with your color changes. This way you don't have to bother with creating merged layers.
(Or for us lazy people: combine all the original layers into a smart object and just open the psb file from your layers panel)

Instead of adding a new stamp visible layer on top, why not select all layers and then convert them into a smart object on wich you apply the liquify smart filter?
That way, if you wanna change something under the liquify, you just double click on the layer to open all the under layers, do your changes and then save and close the enclosed document, No need to do multiple stamp visible layers and to copy the smart filter.

100%! Hands down, you are the best Adobe master teacher on the web! End of discussion. You have some six sense for how to simplify and think the way us, non-master Adobe hacks are trying to figure things out. I used to be pretty good at retouching. Then, I got brain cancer and now I am trying to remember and figure things out. You are a life saver brother! Thank You!

What if we turn the entire document into a smart object (Selecting every layer then throwing every layer into a smart object, then using that one smart object for liquify? Would that introduce problems? It seems to me like it's an easier way of adding liquify in post, because you won't have to make any stamp visible layers.

hello, i have a problem with history brush tool every time i use it on a layer mask it show me an error which says (cannot use histroy brush beacuse it is not contain a corresponding layer ) what should i do then
reply

I would select all layers, convert into Smart object, and do Liquify on the Smartobject. So I wouldn't need to create a new Stamp visible Layer every time I make changes inside my Smart object.
reply

Couldn't you just convert the whole psd into a liquified smart object and reopen it in another tab so everything is changed dynamically and you don't have to flatten & copy the smart filters?

Ive been inspired by watching your tutorials here. You are great. Im also doing photoshop as a hobby. It could probably be good to share what I have learned so, thanks to you.

Why not create a new file importing the old one as a linked smart object? Fewer update steps if automatic updating isn't working for some reason, no steps required if it is.

Could you please make a tutorial how to make a template in PS for inside the box photography. You the best teacher, using all your tutorials to learn. Thank you
