Awesome video as always! Just a quick question, why were you using the mixer brush in your linked frequency separation video and in this one you paint under the details instead of mixing it? Is there a particular reason or is it just preference? (personally I did not like the mixer brush method so it would be awesome if I could just use this all the time XDDD)

How are you editing on an empty layer? I have to duplicate the layer before editing on it. When I try editing on an empty layer it doesn't do anything.
