we will learn the proper workflow to move from Lightroom to Photoshop. Switching and jumping from Lightroom to Photoshop is pretty simple. In Lightroom, whether you are in the Library or the Develop module, right click on the picture that you want to open in Photoshop and go to Edit In CC. Then the image will automatically load up in Photoshop. Then you are free to edit it the way you like. you may use layers, texts, or graphics along with you image. Once you are satisfied with the results and done with your editing. You don't have to do anything but go to File and click Save. That's it. And the resulting psd file with all the edits that you make in Photoshop pop up in Lightroom. Now you can make all kinds of changes to this psd file in Lightroom like you would edit any other file. Now, if you want to go back to Photoshop again for that particular image, there are two options that you need to consider. If you select, Edit a Copy With Lightroom Adjustments, Lightroom will flatten all the layers and adjustments from Photoshop and open another copy of the image in Photoshop. But, if you want all the layers intact back in photoshop, you would select Edit Original

Now what if I shoot Raw and I edited the image in Lightroom, edited in photoshop next and realized I messed up the white balance for example. Photoshop doesn't work with RAW files so a lot of information is lost even if it works with a TIFF file, right? I will not be able to adjust the white balance or anythings else the way I would be able to do with a RAW file or am I understanding this incorrectly?

When I save the image at lightroom, it goes back to Photoshop with a very long name, includes the name of the folder. How can keep the original name that I use with Lightroom? Thanks

If I sharpen the image using third party application, then move it to Lightroom for minor adjustment, then export it to Photoshop, the image loses sharpness. How to mitigate this?

I do a 'save as' and save it as a jpg when it's a photo I know I won't need to edit again since the psd & tiff files can be huge.
