In The Netherlands this system would cost me 548 euro (at the moment of writing. Changing some of the parts would give me (in my opinion) a better system for 30 euro more.
My list:
AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
Gigabyte B450 Aorus M
HyperX Predator 32Gb 3200mhz
Intel 660p 512gb (or Adata XPG SX8200pro 256gb(C: /)
Seagate Barracuda 2Tb
Seasonic S12III-650
Masterbox E300L
(Know that consoles are cheap for a reason, you have to buy games to play on them, I would not be surpised if the PS5 and X Box Series consoles true value would be 1000 or 1500 dollars. Also, if you want to play comfortabel you have to buy at least 1 or 2 Tb extra storage (approx. 300 dollar) knowing that give a budget of approx. 800 dollars, and for that money you can build a killer machine out of the Ryzen 5 3400G and keep some cash to save for possible future upgrades)
In case of a budget of 750 euro, my list would look like this:
ASRock B450m Steel Legend
AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
HyperX Predator 32Gb 3200mhz
Adata XPG SX8200pro M. 2 NVMe 512Gb (or 256gb(C: /)
Crusial MX500 M. 2 Sata 1Tb (with this motherboard, you-ll loose one of the four Sata ports)
Seagate Barracuda 2Tb
Seasonic Focus GX-750
Cooler master Silentio S400 (I could even consider building my own case out of MDF or plywood)
This system is close to the gaming HTPC I have build, with this diverence: Ryzen 5 2400G instead of 3400G, Adata XPG SX8200pro 256gb instead of 512gb, 1x (now 2x) 8Tb Seagate Exos instead of Seagate Barracuda, case build with plywood. My complete HTPC system with 42 inch monitor, external Sansui SAP201V amplifier and Jamo S805 speakers is more than 1500 euro. But I am happy with it.

In April 2019 I did build a comparable desktop based on the Ryzen 3 2200G; 16GB DDR4 (3000MHz) and a Silicon Power nvme-SSD 512GB (3200/2300MB/s. The whole PC did cost $350, but after transport costs and import duty it was -$500. I saved money by reusing my 2 HDDs, a $60 AsRock B450 HDV Rel 4. 0 and a local midi Tower with a built in iTech 600W power supply for totally $30, bought in Santiago de los Caballeros. I'm very happy with the system and it runs more demanding loads than a Web Browser, since my hobby is Virtual Machines (VM, so it runs at least 1 VM and a Web Browser.
The iTech power supply is a classic one with two SATA plugs, two Molex plugs and NO video card plugs. I guess the rating is 60+ Leather: ) I don't really worry, since the desktop only needs max 150W and the other side is protected by a 1200W Avtek Surge Protector.
The system runs Ubuntu 20. 04 and Virtualbox on the super modern ZFS filesystem (lz4 compressed ratio=1. 8; snapshots; Copy on Write and a mix of Raid-0 and 1 for the 2 HDDs. I run many VMs like Windows for Workgroups 3. 11; Windows 10 Pro, basically all Windows release between 1 - 10, the latest FreeBSD release and approx 40 Linux releases. It can run 1 - 4 modern VMs at the same time in 16GB, but the CPU load is mostly far below100%, because I have only one keyboard and mouse to feed the beast: )

This sounds about right. But that case has the worst thermal performance of any I've every built in. Matter of fact I wouldn't build anything in one of those ever again. Yes. it's that bad. You'd think with all the perforated holes everywhere airflow would be great. Nope. Not in the slightest. Otherwise, I like all the other part choices. This is a solid $500 build as I've built several machines with the 2200G at the heart. Customers are still very happy with the performance.
As a basic daily driver. this setup can't be beat. Good Job guys.

Maybe Alaina should make a slideshow about which way fans blow for the other members of this program. They've gotten mixed up about this one, the PS5 blower, and the RTX 3000 Founders' Edition.

I dont know if this would actually be worth buying over the new consoles but it's decent for how bad part prices are right now.
Personally Id go with an RX 570/R51600 build over this

3600XT has been a go to for me and my budget builds for new gamers. I have paired it with a 2060KO twice, a 2080TI Black lol, and a 1060. 2080TI used is now a budget high end part too.
