Finally decided to switch to linux after putting it off for over ten years. Came across this video and it was about my favorite game. I adore warframe and it got me through some really shitty times. Then I noticed that you are also running a Ryzen 1700, 16GB RAM and an Rx Vega 64. I think this makes you my spirit animal, Chris. Just got warframe running flawless today on Steam Proton 4.2 on Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon, I'm loving mint. Thanks for all the hard work.

The weird thing is, is that Sony's PS4 is Linux BSD called Orbit OS, whilst Sony has monopoly over their console, we don't see, hardly if any PS4 games being ported to Linux on the Desktop. Now surely these games are written with the Linux code inside them, somewhere in the coding? Wouldn't it be nice to maybe someday see some PS4 titles come over to Linux, that have not been officially released for Windows?

Hey Chris...I've got a favorite that I -almost- got working on Debian 9. Through Steam, with Proton stuff, it just doesn't launch. I've tried a different bottle with appropriate .dll's, etc. but still no go. The best I got was really laggy video and no control with mouse and keyboard. Try that one and let me know!!

this game was able to play on steam using proton, but one of the last updates brakes the launcher again,. it just goes in to a loop of updates and fails
the lutris route is still viable, no launcher though

Yes the only thing keeping me from linux is games. I have wiped my windows and I am trying to do this in linux. At the moment I went with linux mint because it is easiest. When I learn more I may change.

I just have to say that I'm stunned by this video. Clicked on it after I watched your Christmas video. I had no idea that the Linux desktop looked so good or that you could play games on it. Thanks again.

So I tried AoE Definitive Edition on my Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS for a while now. In fact, I am still searching for a compatibility solution. I have even tried Lutris. Any idea how to make it work?

That is very impressive demonstration of Linux. I am impressed!
The only games I own these days are Steam ones. Can these games install with Lutris and if so, how?
Thanks
