hmm anybody tried burning a cdrom and booting that instead of usb flash drives for this OS? Good ole fashioned way to do it? That is what I want to do. BUT I also do not have money to buy new modern servers to serve my local personal files. I have a ton of P4 based server racks that I want to use FreeNAS with but seems only 64bit cpu systems are supported now. Any suggestions for us poor folk on a FreeNAS 32bit with more realistic hardware requirements to just serve files in a local NO INTERNET network? Solaris 9 and old 32bit Sparcstations used to do this kind of stuff and I know it is possible in 2019. I do have a copy of FreeBSD 11.2 and 12 32bit. Perhaps a file server autoconfig script or something for a newbie to FreeBSD/FreeNAS 32bit?

I tried installing 11.2 this weekend and after 3 failed attempts I installed 11.1 and then upgraded to 11.2. Basically the 11.2 installer has some issues. When flashing the installer on to a USB stick it crashes Windows 7 every time and on multiple computers. From what I read, that is not going to be fixed. Then after using Windows 10 to flash the USB stick I installed 11.2 but it would not boot. It didn't matter if I set it up for UEFI or BIOS, it would not boot. Installing 11.1 and updating worked flawlessly and the first time.

Having it like this the freenas does not recognize me the disk to be able to create the pool, but if I connect it in a box like USB there it does. I am installing the freenas system on a separate USB.

Good day. First of all my regards. Someone will know some reason why when I install the freenas with the disk I will use to create the pool directly connected to the motherboard.

Is there a way you are turning off autoplay? I keep seeing it disappear after a instance and can't find a way to change it.
