this game plays havoc with my laptop, 2070 Max Q 8gb, none of the advice offered above works. I have got to where the game is playable but still get stuttering. However my Gtx 970 plays much better, completely smooth and good enough frame rate, it will even play at 4k resolution smoothly albeit a low fps.
On laptops dont enable best performance as this will likely lead to thermal throttling quicker and ruin gameplay.

the one wrong thing i find in every one of your videos is choose the highest resolution available to you: you mean the native resolution available to your monitor if your machine can run it my monitors only run 1920x1080 yet they have the option for 3840x2160 (4k resolution) both of my monitors are 165hz 1920x1080 so it'd be unreasonable to choose 3840x2160.

im 1000h in and have treid maxing my fps on my own, note that i do have a gaming pc but its an old one. have been playing with like max 28fps mostly arround 20-25 tho and like 2fps in wars . ive done alle the things from this video and ive DOUBLED my fps, i have steady 42. dude. WOW it feels like a newer New World now :D thank you

I'm using my Ryzen 5 2400G with Gigabyte RX 6600XT until my Ryzen 5 5600X arrives and this has helped massively! Gone from 30FPS at a push to well over 50FPS (outside of cities) with 4k resolution

Resolution had a 3840 x 2160 option, but the 1920 x 1080 is saving me 30 frames at least in combination with all the tips! Thanks my guy! Now I have to try and replicate with Halo Infinite haha :p

I'm in complete shock. I've had unbareable lag since the void gauntlet patch to the point I couldn't effectively play any content and your tips have completely solved my lag issues.

I don't get it... I have a 3080 and a 5800x, followed these steps, and there's really no change. It falls down to 60 or lower and 150 at the highest
