Absolute worst customer service I've experienced in a while. I had an active 2 year subscription, but hadn't used it for a while. When I went to log in, my account expired, but on the website my account showed it was still active for another year. To summarize, it took over 45 minutes to get the customer service rep to just send me a reset password link. If you happen to forget it, or it stops working like mine did, the -Recover Password- link brings you to your account page where it requires you to type your old password, which you already don't have, in order to make a new one. I'm not even joking, it was over 45 minutes for that and they still couldn't get my account working when I updated the password and logged in. I asked for a partial refund since I was frustrated and my account wasn't reactivated, and they chose not to while claiming -they can't-. Definitely wouldn't recommend it based on the customer service alone.

+Techlore I'm currently using PureVPN but only because it had all the unique features I need. I run a server on the Verizon cellular network. I get the 4G Unlimited Prepaid package for $70/month, but they don't give a public IP, so I needed a VPN. I also needed port forwarding to run the server. And I also kinda need the Split Tunneling so I can access local virtual machines but still run some software (utorrent, TorrentRover, etc) over the VPN. Are you aware of any VPN service besides PureVPN that has public IP (doesn't need to be dedicated necessarily, port forwarding, and split tunneling?

Trusting a VPN service provider is very important. Without it, you might as well go naked. Too many firms out there that cheat and spy on you. I don't know about PureVPN (jury is still out, however its not a good start when they say they don't keep logs and they do, and they use fake Anglo names. Easy to tell when their English grammar (in communications) is flawed. Who are they kidding. Laughable really. Anyway, hopefully they can address some of the issues raised in this review and earn more -trust- points. Otherwise their software looks good.

I have used them for years and you can have dns leaks but it's usually user error also they claim that they DO NOT keep logs split tunnel is awesome sadly they usemy virtual servers you also forgot mention they even have DD-WRT support and even an applet. yiu can install right into the DD-WRT router however maybe your review is older than last time I used them. guess I'll check Nord out in used the Nord 3 day trial and was pretty nice AirVpn seemed to be very secure however speeds were meh and it was not user friendly.

The kill switch failing is incredibly sporadic and rare, as far as I know there's no way to guarantee it will happen; I've had purevpn running with kill switch enabled, go to bed, wake up and see downloads still running while purevpn has a dialogue open stating that it lost its connection. my advice: never leave it running unsupervised.
NordVPN? Srsly? I could not get that pile of garbage to work right and the download speeds were like dialup! Clearly sponsored to say that.

Read somewhere that pure vpn gave user details to fbi for one of their cases and helped them to trace a person who did some illegal stuff. Pure vpn did good thing to expose it but this also shows that they maintain logs and aren't trust worthy.
