I mean idk some of them are worse if your a watcher or someone who is trying to get rich perhaps. But other than that youtube is way worse. The fact that go around censoring commenters who are doing nothing but talking to other people about facts. Or like myself who was personally followed or flagged as a commenter to have everything i say deleted as soon as i posted it. I noticed pretty quick and at times fought with them in reposting wars and then eventually left and made the top of youtube on other social platforms notice, which of course they never replied but it did stop for the most part, so it must have been enough for them to not want to really do it anymore just in case. But the truth is they followed me around and deleted everything is said no matter what i said for almost 3 months. Tell me how can you get worse than that? and again thats not from a creator standpoint thats a commenter. I've never seen anything like it a business that has so much money and time that they can stalk their customers and alienate them despite the fact it will eventually bankrupt youtube, and perhaps google since its probably their prerogative.

There's nothing wrong with Youtube. It's Google that is the problem. Youtube as a platform is pretty awesome. It is fast and reliable. And it has a great design overall. Google, however, is the problem behind Youtube's issues.
Rumble is okay. I'm not a fan of their showcase format. It's confusing.
Odyssee is pretty good. Not as fast as Youtube. But it's okay. They have a decent layout.
All the rest are garbage.

0: 08 YouTube broke even in 2015 after properly enabling mobile ads and haven't shared a profit report since then. It's obvious they want us to think it's still not profitable as an excuse to bow before their advertiser overlords and to use that lie as a generic catch-all excuse for their white knites

Give advertisers the option to opt-in to showing ads on -sensitive- content. Then some advertisers can still get their ads out there to people watching videos with evil cuss words in them, and people making those videos can still make money. The first platform to do that will beat youtube.

5: 08 And then Vidme just up and died after some dumb drama where a user apparently got banned for talking to Eli the Computer guy who Duffy labeled as a -Vidme troll-. Said user wasn't a good person though so who even knows if that's really why he got banned?

YOUTUBE was better but not any more! The numerous and repetitive advertising has made it unwatchable! To watch a 5 minute clip and have 4 interrupting ads is way to much!

the free golden age of the internet (which yt emerged from) is gone forever. but i do hope we get a yt alternative that at least partially brings that feeling back
