Once Microsoft decided to not support CPUs that didn-t have TPM 2.0 I switched and I-m never looking back. Windows is a waste of money and resources. Windows 11 requires 4GB of RAM. Most Linux distros only require 2GB and in some cases 1GB. Another thing, a lot of companies are moving toward web apps vs coding actual applications for computers that need to be installed so as long as you have a browser installed, you can use their program. Microsoft has followed that same path and changed their licensing to annual plans so you can purchase a one year subscription for office 365 and use it on a windows desktop without having to install office as long as you have a browser installed. People just don-t know any better and are afraid of trying something different.

'Upgrade' to Linux and then wish you hadn't. Try to install one software, it gives you dependency error. You go to install the dependency, it gives you another error. You can use package managers but building software from source takes forever if you ever decide to do that. Snap or Flatpacks are slow as hell. Most useful day to day apps are not even supported. You can't even make a bootable windows on that pile of shit that is desktop Linux. Don't get me wrong, Linux is very good on Servers. I would say, Linux for servers, Windows for gaming, office work or editing, MacOS for everything that is for Windows specially for development except gaming.

Linux Deepin looks fantastic, flexible, and so much more intuitive than Windows. The only thing keeping me from switching to Linux is the fact that I might not be able to install applications exclusive to Windows 10/11 like the Microsoft Store applications and '.exe' files. It's crazy how this OS is completely -FREE- to download and use for all, which is great if I ever decide that I'd rather sacrifice certain exclusive programs for the matchless Linux.

I am going to be honest, deepen looks like a 2nd grader spilled some paint and someone dropped a logo with an unnecessary word on it. the colours are vomit inducing, and if that is the background with which it starts and you think it is acceptable, you are going to have to refine your design tastes.
And this is a topic I can be authoritative on, I am a graphic designer.
You are not going to get many people converting with that eye sore.

Problem with Linux is most distros don-t play nice with windows software. Staying with windows. I know there-s -wine- and all that stuff but it-s not the same. Needs to be more compatible. I-ve used Linus forever and tried almost all distros. I always just keep coming back to windows.

Ive tried linux so many times over the years. Im sorry but windows pisses all over it Its a day out involving all sorts of bs in linux just to do what you can do in 3 clicks in Windows., If linux was better why is it still only used by a tiny part of the computer market.

It's just crazy because this video shows more than you know nothing about Windows because even with Windows you could've done all you're listing as positive for Linux

You'd've convinced me! Except I switched from that garbage in 1995, then a hard game. Now Linux (MX21 here) is a Breeze (dark)...why does anyone for dumpster trash?

The best way to get them to switch to linux might be to allow them to try windows 11 and then hand them a USB with Linux Mint as a way out if it gets too bad
