These Things Are Preventing Your YouTube Channel From Succeeding DistroTube Are you a YouTube creator? Is your channel just not taking off like you had hoped? In this video, I will discuss some things that you should be doing and some things that you should not be doing regarding your YouTube channel. Recently, fellow Linux YouTuber 'baby WOGUE' posted this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8R-Cz-9v5c In this video, baby WOGUE laments the fact that his channel is not making the kind of revenue that it should. So I take a look at baby WOGUE's channel and offer some constructive criticism that hopefully will help him and other YouTubers that are not achieving their desired results. If you are looking for some great Linux content and are not subscribed to baby WOGUE, be sure to check out his channel and subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWadyLVO4ZnMgLrRVtS6VA

Hey DT - (don't know which video of yours to ask this on) - I know you play the recorder so how about playing Scarborough Fair by Simon & Garfunkel and please play it sweet and at the same tempo. If I get the time, I think I'll try it myself. I have a nice wooden recorder in C and some plastic kids' toys. In the 70s in Ann Arbor, I almost bought a nice wooden one in F. It even had a valve or two like a flute or sax (I'm basically keyboards).

IMHO, my biggest problem is a profound case of the ADHDs, so I go off on tangents and don't have the patience to edit.
That'll take some work to fix.
Then there's everything else you talk about. -Le sigh-

Wait, people actually care about thumbnails? Most thumbnails are clickbaity AF so I don-t really pay much attention to them. I look mainly at the video title. Good title >> click bait thumbnail.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, derek! I've been creating videos for 4 years but only have 400 subs. Probably because my niche is kinda small, and it's on my mother language as well.

Thought this was baby Wogue for a second lol XD.
Edit: His content is really good. I've been watching him for a while and the videos are really informative. Check him out.

My niche is playing German anime video games in a broken Gentoo VM on NixOS in Latin and in 240p only and I make 10 million dollars a month. JK

Don't want to forget: make sure you add End Screens with Sub/Playlist links. I'm getting definite clicks through those, and clicks can't be bad...
