Outlook Rules Kevin Stratvert learn how to use Rules in Microsoft Outlook. Rules allow you to move, flag, and respond to email messages automatically. You can also use rules to play sounds, move messages to folders, or display new item alerts. The easiest and most common rule to create is one that allows you to move an item from a certain sender or with certain words in the subject line to another folder. You can create this rule directly from a message you've already received. - Additional resources - Top 20 Outlook Tips & Tricks: https://youtu.be/edABo0VnHK8 - Top 14 Outlook Calendar Tips & Tricks: https://youtu.be/6BU_ELSsDLc

Hi Kevin, I need some help please. How do I create an outlook rule to find emails in a folder (which have been manually put in because there are various senders, subject info etc so I manually move them into my KEEP IT folder. What I would like is for the emails in this folder to all be marked as read. I know I can go into the folder, and CTRL A and click the UNREAD/READ button, but that's manual and I want a rule to do it for me please. Hope you can help, regards Silver

Hi Kevin, my question is about using Outlook. When attaching a contacts business card to an EMAIL I am forwarding, why does Microsoft not have a search option? When you have lots of contacts it's really hard to find the business card. I have to manually scroll thru 100s of contacts. Is there an easy way to do this? If I'm unclear let me know and I'll try to be a little more concise with my descriptions. Thank you

HI Kevin, thanks for all this. I have bene trying to setup a rule in outlook 365 with multiple words in the subject or body rule. However, I have about 100+ words to input and inserting them one by one will take me days to do this over and over again for multiple accounts. Is there a way to have those words all inserted at once?

Hi Kevin, thanks for the video. I want to set a rule so that emails from a specific person move to a designated folder 1 or 2 weeks AFTER receipt of said email. I've done some searching and can't see where this is possible. Is that the case?

Thanks Kevin. I have an out of office message but it only sends the message the first time somebody contacts me when I'm away. Is there a way to set it up so that the message gets sent out every time? Thank you.

Aren't there in outlook such a rule that when you responded to the e-mail and the recipient writes you back again, this mail automatically goes to the same persons category who responded in the first place?

What's crazy to me is that outlook for Android app doesn't support notifications for subfolders. So you need to be checking your folders for new emails to make sure you're not missing on anything
