Xmonad and Named Scratchpads DistroTube I've been re-discovering the joys of Xmonad. One of the cool features of Xmonad is NamedScratchpads! - https://hackage.haskell.org/package/xmonad-contrib-0.15/docs/XMonad-Util-NamedScratchpad.html https://gitlab.com/dwt1/dotfiles/tree/master/.xmonad/

What a coincidence, I've been working on getting some scratchpad functionality into bspwm the last couple days, and actually just made some headway on it shortly before your vid came out. It was kind of a pain to find any current documentation that would actually work. Stoked when I finally got something that works well!
I will tell you right now..Xmonad looks like it handles the idea of scratchpads waaay better than Bspwm. I figured it out, but had to utilize various tools and create a custom script in the process. Timely vid, dug it;) Thanks man

the only monad you should be thinking about on a saturday night is your own, preferably in the context of forking the repository of a young linux acolyte at the local watering hole, just don't --force the issue. that's the kind of dropdown we'd all like to hear about

In my qtile setups I have a terminal and a calculator on scratchpads. Very convenient. I particularly like the fact that I can make my terminal of choice (xterm) a dropdown. I'm getting the impression that qtile has borrowed a lot of features from xmonad!

aaah this is why it's named Xmonad... cause Haskell! wasn't watching vid, just listening, and only had to see the green 'where' when you show your custom scratchpads to understand
