Minecraft Shaders - Setup Guide and Comparison to RTX - Chris Titus Tech Big graphic changes are coming to Minecraft, but instead of buying a $1000+ RTX Card, let's mod our Minecraft to use the budget graphics card to get a similar experience. Nvidia also took away good looking lighting from most gamers for Metro Exodus, because Nvidia pushed its RTX the developer didn't implement voxel-based lightning which they did implement for the earlier two Metro-games. For me this means that I will not be interested in buying Metro Exodus until I have a graphics card which can handle that RTX and which can do it with >100 FPS with 1440p and high settings, that graphics card will not be an Nvidia card. (AMD, Intel or maybe something based on ARM in the future, according to Coreteks they will get into this business too). Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed 4 didn' even run on AMD cards with a playable FPS and frame-render-time until months after launch. Assassin's Creed Revelations still runs like shit on an HD 7850 which should be overkill for that game. The Witcher 3 gets unnecessary FPS-drops due to Nvidia using extreme tessellation and extreme accuracy (more than what could be seen, more hairs with a lower accuracy per hair would give a much better result) for their Hairworks. Nvidia its proprietary software is poison for the game-industry.

most mods are 1.12.2 ,
that not really a drawback.
you have to realize that most minecraft updates are inspired by mods anyways.
you could possible even run minecraft version 1.0 and still have the experience of 1.14.4 to some degree ,
but you would have to do a lot of digging for those mods is all :)

SEUS PTGI is much better. Proper path tracing. Real reflections of colour from blocks. And on PBR materials etc. Sildurs is just a regular shader. SEUS PTGI works on every graphics card including AMD albeit at a low frame rate. At 1440p I get like 40-50fps with a 2080ti.

2 Things.
1. I'm currently using SEUS with minecraft 1.14.4. no issues.
2. you installed forge but you ran the optifine version ( which means forge wasnt working). I was hoping to see how to have both forge and optifine working.

I have been running sildurs shaders for like two years. Love it. You remind me of installing a os on my computer... Would you make video on installing optifine into a minecraft flatpak environment. Could not get it to run.

Microsoft: -_We added RAY TRACING to minecraft, but Nvidia told us to have it only work with their cards_-
Modders: We dont have backroom deals with Nivida, so mod'ed Ray Tracing works with AMD cards

Don't forget about umsoea's textures. SEUS PTGI + umsoea = _more realistic than real-life_ - And you don't need RTX either, in fact, umsoea's demos run on a GTX 970: youtube.com/results?search_query=umsoea

Read your post. Is this one still on Debian/Arch or have you already changed. Really curious to know what you gonna change to since you really spiced it up with -Greener Pastures-. Definitely not Ubuntu.

ive been trying to set this up, just to clarify, would it be safe to get the newest bios, a gaming distro lile manjaro or pop, and the latest drivers for my vega 8 graphics?

Most of the time, you don't need to extract the zip archives, you can just drag them into the shaderpacks folder. Same goes for resource packs.
Anyway, great video!
