were going to show you how to compare two columns in Excel. Especially when working with extensive, unwieldy columns, it may be necessary to compare them. Another example would be when working in a team, and youre not entirely sure what the other person wrote down; so you want to check to make sure that there arent any repeats in the columns. First click an empty cell and type in the following Function: =IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A3, $C$3: $C$12, 0,, A3) The first A3 refers to the name to be tested against the $C$3: $C$12 selection of names. The second A3 refers to the value to output if there is a MATCH error. Change these values according to the setup of your Excel spreadsheet Select the cell that the Function was typed in then go ahead and click and hold the bottom right hand handle of the cell and drag it down as many cells as are in the columns that you are comparing If there are any errors, they will show up in the corresponding row and showing the value or name that created the error

I tried this but it wasn't fetching the correct data. Doe the columns have to be in a particular location (left) of the calculated column? I was using a very list of 80 names with symbols - and _, none of my columns were sorted.

I want to shuffle the number of 2 colums into 3rd but in different place
for Example
col1 = 1 2 3 4 5
col2 = 6 7 8 9 10
col3 = 5 8 1 9 2 10 6 4 3 7,

What if I have some values along with the names to be sorted? Say, Kiara and 16 in adjacent cell, and I need to move that values also. what should be done?

What if I have 5 or more columns I want to check if the name is in there as well? Do I have to make an Individual formular for each?
