Wish you guys could do a review of the 1000D, the older brother of the 9000D. It's overkill for 99% of people that was perfect for my bigger badder PC fight with my brother.
Then again, I get the feeling that a review of the 9000D would almost be like reviewing the 1000D cause they're almost the same thing. Like seriously, there's a few differences but the 9000D feels like a minor modification someone did to a 1000D in their basement and Corsair just decided to mass produce it.
I do love my 1000D despite the whole system weighing like 60-70 pounds. I didn't really use it for its intended role, just put a full sized motherboard with a 7950xdx and an Arctic 420 AIO in it with normal case fans, but all that space makes working on it so easy. I definitely recommend it for someone who wants to go all out and just have an enormous, over the top PC that they can sit next to them, look over, and just giggle about due to its size.

The QX120 fans in that case are 50 dollars EACH! For the 32 fans they have in that case, It would cost $1600.00... JUST FOR THE FANS... Corsair has completely lost the plot when it comes to pricing. The case may be 500 dollars (which is still way too expensive in my opinion), but when they display it with probably around 3,000 dollars in JUST COOLING (including the pumps, rads, fans, tubing, etc.) I find that pretty ridiculous.
It also blows me away that Corsair STILL doesn't have any reverse blade fans.
In today's world, people need affordable and functional options more than ever. However, affordable doesn't appear to be in Corsair's vocabulary anymore.

I got a 1000D and I am just upgrading it. I won't buy that new one.. I don't like the clear glass and the metal front.. not that it is worse.. just not the style that I like.
However.. that case is absolute overkill... .AND I LOVE IT! However there is one thing I'd like to know. If it is compatible with the fan mountings. I saw that you can adjust the position of the fans and the 1000D only has static ones.. would be pretty cool if I can just buy parts of the new one to put in my old one.

A 3-phase motor is simply an electric motor that has 3 power delivery phases (in pairs, so 6 electromagnetically generated fields in total).
It helps with the efficiency and smoothness of rotation in the motor, which leads to fewer vibrations and better longevity. Most pc fans use single-phase electric motors, and usually 3-phase motor fans are used for industrial purposes with harsher conditions and prolonged service periods.

Seems like LGA1851 and Z890 are the latest taboos. Yep, LGA1851 and Z890 are off-limits. I see, mentioning LGA1851 and Z890 is a big no-no. Who knew that LGA1851 and Z890 could cause such a stir Anyway, just thought I'd share that LGA1851 and Z890 are not to be mentioned if someone missed it from the outro. Did I mention LGA1851 and Z890 Oops, there I go again with LGA1851 and Z890!
Cheers to avoiding LGA1851 and Z890!

What needs to change is Corsair needs to ditch that ugly back frame design on their cheaper fans where there's a smillion ugly curves on the back and adopt their X pattern back design on their QX and QL fans permanently. And they also need to make their fans cheaper then Lian Li and Phanteks because they are just inferior. You're not a flagship kind of company Corsair. And neither are you NZXT with your awful proprietary designs.

I'll wait for AI powered curved glass RGB LCD display cases with 48 fans, thank you very much.
One thing i still kinda don't get is the VRM fan obsession. Who genuinely has a dog water tier budget tier board, high end CPU, and then spends big bucks on a cooler
I mean, i have a 13700K and a Z-690A, and the VRM is absolutely cool and under control when under 253W load.

Did you find anything branded AI The 9000D has the mesh front (steel), and the USB hub at the top. Dual xeon workstation is great for these big 1000D/9000D cases. Find out if they made their money back on the tooling if they really did spend one mil. They could make more money back by selling 1000D to 9000D upgrade kits at least for the front mesh and USB hub.

Who on earth needs the 9000D in the gaming/Workstation space The 2x480 rads in the front are overkill for a 4090/14900k, and it looks empty even with 4 pump/res combos sat in it. Absolute waste of time/money and engineering from Corsair when they could be better utilised not releasing POS shit like the new prebuilt i500 that is running at 100c

a truly massive case, but I'm left wondering, at that scale, I wonder if having a large open air design with lots of fans has any benefits as apposed to having a large sealed box with a singular entry and exit. im sure it wouldnt look as cool but i just get the feeling all those fans might end up working against each other

At this point, somebody build a case that is built solely using fans stacked as lego blocks. The power and lighting could be daisy-chained through adjacent units. In order to support the other components, modular fixtures need to build that would attach to the fan frame.

Yeah, at this scale Idk what using a 3 phase motor really gains your. It will use less power but is that really helping the cooling, no lol. And you can drive more power so maybe they can get faster at less lower, but again, at this scale does that really matter

So it's a 1000D v2. My wallet was starting to cry when I saw the headline. I didn't wanna let go of my 1000d and upgrade but after seeing this I'm not worried. The 9000D looks great but it's not worth spending another $500 for aesthetics and quality of life improvements.

06:03 How useful would that even be, considering the outer door would cover up that whole segment anyway I guess there's enough space in between the doors for the air to rise to the vent opening of the outer door but I suspect Corsair engineers know better XD

Didn’t Corsair already have a 900D or 9000D My buddy had one. Absolutely massive case with a 3 or 4 bay hot swap drive cage, a 5.25 inch bay or two, a mid-plate design like the famous TJ-07 and push button side panel opening from the early 2010s

. And here I was thinking I was going a little overboard with a thermaltake core p8.
That bugger weighs 50 lb without anything in it, and it takes 18 fans. Idea.
That thing literally takes twice the number of fans.... Dear God, I kind of want one

Keep considering a dual system case but I can't decide if I really want to do it... I have my main PC and a Plex server and thought it'd be cool to put them both in one case but I'd need at LEAST ten 3.5 bays as well as six or more for my 2.5 SSD's

Fun fact: the triforce is not an intellectual property of Nintendo. It's the company logo of Fischer Sports, an Austrian wintersport equipment producer. They've been around since 1924. And the logo has been in use for 80 something years now.

Where's all the HDD storage gone these days! Had to customize my 011D XL just to fit my 6x 20TB 3.5 HDD's as most people will still run a NVMe for System and 3.5HDD's for storage as 20TB drives are pretty cheap these days, jet cases are lacking!
