When I followed the Zen5 leak to its original source. Found out that its single threaded run of spec int rate.
What it means.
It means when recompiled with compiler with optimizations specifically for the new processor with optimizations turned specifically to each processor in a situation where it is NOT power limited they got 40% geometric average on set of 10 different benchmarks that are not floating point applications but integer applications.
So it is not as narrow as a single benchmark. Its not necessarily indicative about games until someone runs new optimizations on them. But it is indication that if you have access to source code, and you are willing to tune compiling parameters and get a new version of compiler after the launch with Zen5 optimizations on it you can get huge speed up for the single threaded case.
Zen5 has a lot more execution width than previous processors and that width should constantly hit limitations of existing software. But with recompilation some of those limitations can be overcome. But do not assume it would be optimal for any other existing X86 processor to run binaries optimized for zen5, thus you are less likely going to see this kind of benefits on applications where you actually BUY the software as already compiled binaries. Let's make it simple, one eats instructions in groups of 6 and another eats them in groups of 8, if you optimize for one the other one has unused instruction fetch slots.
As for believability of this claim. Well 50% increase in ALU width, L1 cache amount and 33% increase in load/store units and instruction fetch, AVX-512 execution width doubled. AMD has increased the raw available execution resources by large amount for zen5. There are also some hints about some other tricks that give significant boost. And now the unknown part, some of the SPEC-int by description would work perfectly with AVX-512 integer execution, and you could get something like 30% for recompiled binary except for some sub-benchmarks where they got double because double width AVX-512 single threaded integer application. And then get geometric average of >40% because some benchmarks are completely off the charts.

The way I read FCC's Net Neutrality spiel(schlock) Is the same way I read the FBI and CIA's insistence on being able to mine your private data via section 702 of the FISA Act: They dont want to follow the constitution and do things the right way via a search warrant because, they claim, that there are times when getting a warrant is too hard. They just want to mine your data and if they find something innocuous but on their list they can use that to build a case against you. Nevermind that doing such A)compels speech, B) is a direct violation of the no warrants clause and C) compels incriminating testimony against ones self. They want to be able to surveil speech by American Citizens without probable cause then use that speech to incarcerate you and now they want to have tools to defeat hackers (who might happen to be American Citizens ) too Not No, but HELL NO!

I'd never buy anything with screens for PC as in my view function comes first, but yes style to a point is important, the one product I'd like to see is side panel window screens that come in many sizes as obviously you can DIY something like this but it's not straight forward really and i just would like something I can attach to my 750D plug it into the GPU and then set up in windows without any need for me to source and tinker to get it all working or worse still ruin a panel trying, that would be helpful to my desire but tbh it's a want vs need so of course i understand peoples wants and needs are different and for me coolers with screens add nothing for me i'm happy enough with a slight led logo or at most the smaller mini screens on the corsairs but generally not for me.

Fancy how the internet was just fine before Net Neutrality was even a concept and how none of the things fearmongers said would happen to the internet if the law isn't passed ever happened. Net Neutrality, as Neutral as the Patriot act was Patriotic. More tools for the US government to spy and control their population.
You can name your dog Fish but at the end of the day he'll still bark and lick his nuts. And it also comes to show how people will support anything if the name says they should. You can get unrestricted 1Gbps fiber internet in most of Europe for less than $25 a month, and guess what none of those countries have: Net Neutrality laws.

Honestly, while I do enjoy more creative ways to make a PC truly yours, I really wish we'd stop putting screens on bloody everything. They require a fair amount of power, run warm, and are prone to failure. And that's the perfect combination of things that I do NOT want on a CPU cooler. Or, any kind of cooler, for that fact. Sometimes, a cooler should just be allowed to be a cooler.
Just like we shouldn't be trying to recreate the proprietary mishmash mess of RGB vendors and compatibility in motherboards and cases. A couple of cables is fine. Just relax.

The way I understand it, anamorphic 3D effect requires the viewer to view the contents at an specific angle/specific vantage point to receive the desired effect (forced perspective-esque illusory trick).
It works fine for billboards because the location of said billboards usually allows the intended viewers to look at them at the required angle. But would that work well when installed in a computer case Granted many of us usually view the innards of the computer at a certain angle, but anamorphic image distorts when viewed at an off angle.

I'm all about the shift to LCD & OLED screens in PC components, I have both a Ryujin III AND a full set of Lian Li TL-LCD fans, but if this new company wants to see success they have to do more than just market anamorphic viewing angles. They absolutely NEED to kick the established players where it hurts, in the software. If they can make good software that just automatically converts videos to that anamorphic look and it doesn't suck to use like almost everybody else's they might actually see success.

About 18:35, two things:
First is that internet quality sucks everywhere in Europe except for a few places in a handful of capitols. Internet in the US is much, much better.
Second thing is that the misleading advertising on bandwidth promises has nothing to do with innovation one way or the other: that's a business integrity problem, created in large part by the regulatory capture that protect the handful of communications providers.

Truth be told, in my opinion, Apple already won the tablet war. I've tried a variety of Android tablets over the years, and they all suck compared to the base model iPad. To get something Android-wise that seems to even be useable, you need to spend twice the price of the base model iPad itself.
I would really love for there to be something similarly specced for cheaper, but, at least here in Australia, it just doesn't exist.

I was so excited when you mentioned the MinisForum tablet.
But then the price tag came and my excitement just evaporated ._. I have been wanting a good tablet for so long, but the only viable-ish candidate thus far, that has a german keyboard layout (which almost no tablet does), is the Huawei Matebook E or a Surface. And, amma be real, I do not want to brandish a Windows logo lmao. Hopefuly this goes down a little...

As a fan of the Vaio UX's design since release, I've been waiting for a handheld with a slide-out keyboard. I know GPD and Ayaneo have released a couple, but GPD has sitcom-level support and Aya is too busy designing new variants to make sure the ones they're releasing are working properly.
I tried a Steam Deck, good for games but not for the rest. I'd just need one of those with a keyboard and I'd be set for a decade.

That Cooler display is just a gimmick, and given its shape/form and the content it would need its useless imho. Would've been better to have a 10-15inch display depending on how big of a case the user has as a replacement of the whole side panel attaching with magnets or smth... I mean there are things that can make sense and look awesome, but this gimmicky thing they made is just somewhere inbetween of nowhere.

Net neutraility, right there protect the internet in the name of national security and public safety. Hmmm where have I hear that before.. Oh it was called the patriot act! So anything big brother government does not like what you are posting on the internet it can claim it is arresting you in the name of national security and public safety! Only fuking idiots would trust this this power will not be abused!

I don't need a $350.00 thing making a picture inside the thing that makes my picture. Besides, that little monitor will create heat, right So what's gonna cool my cooler that's making a picture inside of the thing that's making a picture
If this new company has an employee named Jack, and he has a big ass, then you'd have Big Ass Jack in a company of jackasses. Then all of this would make sense.

Battlemage gearing up for the battle That should have been done back in Jan. to at least go up against a 7800 XT and the 4070 non super. Intel you lost the battle before it even started. I was interested in Battlemage at one point hoping they would have something serious to show but now they are truly in my eyes, not even a consideration anymore and I will not acknowledge them with their GPUs.

For me, I want to have modular screens.
What I don't want is squares with liquid coolers.
I want a castle, or a Japanese temple, or the Roman senate house.
Make the designs (If feasable) Interesting!
That's why I bought the Phantrk Ethnoo Evolv X,
Bad value amazing look. Similar with the Eclipse P600A. Althought it doesn't look as cool, it's a better value.

I have no interest in AIO screens, but a 3D AIO screen is a new level. While this would be even better for some as a larger screen on a case exterior as two adjacent sides of a case (the corner), I'm a big fan of dual chamber cases that have front, side and top mesh. Unless a wrap-around 3D case screen is released that allows airflow, a 3D AIO screen may be the trick.

I want the government as far away from controlling the flow of the internet in anyway as possible. I dont want corrupt PoS politicians telling Americans what they can and can't say on the internet. They want to control the cost like they do electricity and gas... energy.
No... I dont like the idea of our communist pos government doing anything at this point.

Intel looks like they can't boost their CPUs anymore, the reissues from the last months makes it clear. They have to come up with something new with their CPUs. I hope they stop with those reissues from their older chips. In the past they brought a lot of innovations and that was their strong point. I'm not sure what went wrong under way till today.

I am conflicted on Net Neutrality. On the one hand it sounds really quite good, but on the other, I was trapped with basically no option for internet besides dial-up or satellite internet for an embarrassingly long time. And during the time it's been gone, options have increased to include Starlink if I wanted it, as well as the Fiber lines I'm now getting.
