Sorry Steve but Im very dissapointed. From someone like you I would have expected boycotting the whole 3000 series lineup alltogether after it became pretty clear that this is a marketing bs and a paper launch. You should have publicly called out this crap and refuse to participate in this hype where we wont be able to buy shit for months and months. Especially after some official partner shops (for example in Europe) made public how many cards they got from Nvidia which is a joke, and the reference card being pulled out of nvidia shop alltogether which makes it not available at all in Europe. Actually I would like seing all tech reviewers combined blycotting this but from you the most. Just my 2 Cents

Steve, dude.. I appreciate all the work you're putting in to these 3080's and stuff. But these reviews simply keep kicking me in the nuts, as even if I took valuable information from your review to make a purchase decision, everyone is either all out of stock, or I'm left to spend over 150% of the MSRP (or higher) from a scalper on EBAY. Which ain't gonna happen. By the time I'm able to even purchase what I want, nVidia will probably be 3-6 mos away from their 5000 series.
Perhaps hold off? I mean, by the time most people can pick one of these up, there may be bios changes and revisions that make make it worth a relook anyways down the road. Sometime next year I guess.......

See this is what I don't get. I understand the maths 20% of 410W is more than 20% of 350W and all of that. Why, don't they all have the same baseline? The just add predefined defaults above that, like 20, 30, 40%, whatever the manufacturer wants to set from the factory, but have it be represented accurately above the reference mark? It will work up to the power draw they want it anyway, it'll then just be a comparable number.

Talk about if the fans stop when the GPU is cool and when it starts ramping, does it ramp all the fans at the same time or do they ramp up independent to each other. Some models in previous generations used to do this where the fans would independently start running based on what components were under them. These features aren't clearly specified in the product pages and it would be great if you told us.

As another commenter pointed out, for some reason this card was approx 200AUD less than the TUF and the gaming OC, so it was a bit of a no brainer. And while aesthetics shouldn't matter I really, really dislike the tyre track and general TUF aesthetic. Not that the evga is a good looker by any stretch, but it's more a benign kind of ugly rather than straight up offensive to look at like the tuf

What's EVGA's GPU reliability like these days? Swore off them years ago when I had several GeForce 6800's and then their 7800 replacements fail. They were really good about the warranties at the time though. I don't think any of the second 7800 replacements failed on me but I didn't use them for long.

it's nice if you have checked undervolting very carefully if there are no problems. People throw the voltage at 800mV at 1800mhz and they have 10 degrees less when consuming 200W and the card may lose 5% efficiency in my opinion this is a very good deal and OC does not make sense.

The FT3 is designed for maximum overclocking, I'm currently using the 2080Ti and the Fps boost I get when I overclock it hard is amazing. So when I can upgrade to the 3080 the FT3 is most def' gona be the pcb I choose . Thanks for the data Steve, you da man slammm! ( _ )_\

Not going to lie, this is exceptionally disappointing. I was expecting it to at least come closer to the Tuf in noise normalized testing under roughly equal power usage. Feels like Asus simply have better products this time but their CS/warranty might push people to EVGA.

Would it be worth doing an update to this video with the 450W bios released by EVGA? I know it wouldn't apply to me or most of your audience directly, but if it could even be briefly touched on in a news update, the information would be appreciated.
