VERY SCARY TURTLE Catch Clean Cook snapping Turtle that s fast as Lightning! Fred: Dear mate that was a fantastic meet and greet. As I understand it that turtle his tongue looks like a worm to the fish and when they reach in there to get it it is too late. I would have loved to have been there and tried that turtle. Your videos are fantastic keep them coming love to meet you one day.

This is what is known as a common snapping turtle. These do not have that special tongue which also serves as a lure. The loggerhead or alligator snapping turtle is significantly larger, has high ridges on its back, has the lure'd tongue

Thing with snapping turtles is that they will still move around even when they're dead for a long time. I've seen them gutted with the bottom shell removed and the legs still keep grabbing at your hands. Freaky prehistoric animal.

DMFD is, has been, and will always be the best do it. Wholesome, brave as all get out, and makes the kids more excited to try something like snapping turtle even more than the adults. Cheers to you from Missouri, Rob.

That's so funny, that's exactly what I said to my boy last week when we were cleaning the snapping turtle, that if society breaks down, you will know how to eat while everybody else can look at the turtle and starve.

Sharing is caring brother! You're an awesome person out there and this video shows it. You didn't just share a turtle morsel, you share knowledge and the love for the outdoors. Good bless you and your lovely family

I hunt and fish for pretty much everything but killing a big turtle just dont feel right to me, something about killing and eating something older than me just dont feel right. But to each their own.

Picking up a turtle by the tail is cruel. It can separate their vertebrae, you should grab them by either side of their shell instead and watch your fingers for the sharp claws on their back feet.

I can't blame the owner. They will kill big cats and just one in a small pond can spell the end for some fish. I have had 3 get in my pond and well I have had 3 for dinner so far.
