I find these videos of you really entertaining and I would love to have the chance to go fishing at these spots. But catching so much fish and not even eating fish is unbelievable for me. I know it can be fun to just sportfish and throw em back in and when you fish for a certain type and get other ones I can understand throwing those back in as well. But at the end of the day, the main priority for me is to get something to eat out of this activity and I think it has been this way since humans started to fish. In my opinion this has something to to with respect for the fish, not just playing with it, but doing it for a purpose.

Just about any fish is good eating if it is handled and prepared correctly. For most saltwater fish I am a strong proponent of bleeding, taking care to avoid simply feeding sharks, and icing the fish as soon as it leaves the water. It's also a good trick for trout, catfish, pike, and white bass. Basically; any fish considered to be oily will start to break down as soon as the fish dies and can get too strong of a fishy taste or even taste muddy, like the way a frog pond smells.

It's weird that u like chub In Australia we call them silver drummer and brassy drummer with a few other drummer species and names like buff bream, and no one likes them, most say they stink and taste like mud, even tho it's the same exact fish u catch, ? No idea why this is, I've never tried one but I'm gonna have to now, I think it's just that they will hear or read something and repeat it not having actually tried it them selves, owell I'll find out soon, cheers man

I will never eat a chub. They are well known to feed off human waste that is sent into the ocean. I personally while chumming for yellowtail in the keys had chubs from around the boat eat a large feces that came from me because i had to go so bad. Every houndfish i have ever fileted had had a bunch of worms in its meat.

I grew up in S Florida. I have eaten all those fish. The spots are the best hands down. Ironically a big blue runner like they caught but threw back is good too. But not as good as a mess of spots. And no way are any of them as good as Pompano. But the point of most trash fish actually being good to eat is quite valid.

I never cared for fish either. Not until i'd had fresh fish we had caught the same day. I still don't like fish from a restaurant. its night and day compared to fresh fish. In my opinion if you have never eaten fish caught the same day. You have no idea what fish really taste like. Its a damn shame.

in hawaii we call the chub enenue (eh-neh-nui) and those are tiny compared to Hawaii size. your chub weighs maybe 2-3 pounds but in hawaii we get 10-12 pounders on a good day. I would recommend you guys come to Hawaii to fish
