We traveled to Tokyo, Japan to bring you this ultimate Japanese convenience store food tour! John: The level of fresh food in convenience stores overall is of course better and fresher in Japan, BUT I wish you compared 7-11 vs Family Mart vs Lawson at least. Your video gives the impression that 7-11 is it, the be end all. In terms of globalization, Family Mart is the best. They have the most international staff. Family Mart has the best chicken, 7-11 has the best coffee. Overall, 7-11 has the best quality food, fresh to microwave to your belly.

I'm a Japanese reside in the US and these convenience foods are what makes me homesick all the time! Sam you gotta try Oden that is cooked at the counter with varieties of commodities (veggies and all the what not) in a soup. You find more surprises and also they are very seasonal for traditional food! The little fragrant leaf with chicken breast is a plum leaf! (Hi-So!

I lived in Okinawa for 5yrs and when I was to tired to cook yep I fed my babies 7-11 because I knew it would be good and not all that bad for them. My kids still love pork, red bean, chicken well any kind of stuffed bun I can find! Its amazing food! Yall should definitely make a trip to Okinawa they say its the Hawaii of Japan and I agree it is!

For people who didn't visit Tokyo. might be hard to understand. but. when I visited Tokyo few years ago and was less flexible because of traveling with a baby and bit tired of the hotelfood. the 7 11. was really blowing my mind. the Japanese people are totally quality driven. great out of the box episode Sam, keep going, keep exploring.

OMG! I feel like I've been living under a rock. I finally found you on YouTube! I love your show. I used to watch it on the local station in San Diego but I had to move to Japan in 2019. I wish I could find the show from Seoul, Korea. Did you film there or went on holiday there? Super excited to binge-watch all your YouTube content.

Sam you are an example of a YouTuber that actually belongs as a host. 90% of youtubers got in bc they wanted to and aspired to but don't necessarily work as a host. You, my guy, you're a natural and the perfect host for the everyday man/woman that doesn't care about those crazy expressions and articulate phrasing.

I can tell you were excited but if you wanted to film your video you should had picked different time to do so because it looked busy in the 7/11 and you were soooo in everyones way. Please be considerate next time. By the way, the package with ketchup and mustard is for Corndog. (We call it American dog in Japan)

Guy being the most stereo typical douchebag tourist ever. News flash dummy. she's not going to magically learn English just because you keep asking her questions. Speaking louder in broken English and repeating yourself doesn't work either. There's an app on your phone that can take care of this. use it.

in aus we also have 7/11 but in m travels to Thailand i notice theirs is far superior than ours they have like toasted sandwiches and spicy sausages and loads of awesome stuff miss that place so much if it wasn't so damn hard to just move there permanently i would be living there right about now

Next trip, try putting 2 of the 7-11 Karaage balls inside half of a 7-11 egg salad sandwich. Its amazing. Alternatively you can cut a Lawson fried chicken piece in half and place into half of the Lawson egg salad sandwich. Swapping the items between brands just doesn't taste as good.
