Today I'll show you how to make a whole fried chicken - crispy, delicious w/ spicy buffalo seasoning Adil: I have been watching cooking videos for quite a while and being a half-baked home cook myself I really enjoy them. But, that being said, the way you present your recipes, the language that you use, your presentation and the photography I find very refreshing and entertaining while being instructional at the same time. Two thumbs up from an admirer in Karachi, Pakistan. Great job!

Max is Sam's bossMost chickens are fine either way until a certain age, male or female, but I think older chicken develops better chicken flavor. As they age though, roosters tend to get tough and require extra steps to cook them to the point of being edible, as in Cock Au Vin. Hens can be eaten as older birds as they do not get as tough. Look at the packages of chicken in the stores and you will see many labeled as young whole fryers which I assume would be either hen or rooster.

I watch a lot of his vids so I will faithfully call BS on this one. There was not enough oil to properly cover the chicken in the Dutch and that chicken was definitely not cooked through. otherwise he would have shown us all the meat on the close ups. First vid from him I felt was purely sad to watch. Seemed like he didnt want to eat it and only did so to save face. Those are my two cents. Ill keep watching though. Lots of other recipes to share.

Honestly. I find it quite comical when u go in for a bite on something blazing hot. I'm just wondering how are your taste buds are still functional? Like let the food cool down to where you can touch it without damn near jumping out of your skin and those flavors you're exclaiming about work without competing with near scalding temperature. Trust me. No-one would hold out against you.

Yes, we fry the ladies for 2 reasons, first they've only just reached maturity so the flesh is young and tender unlike a Rooster which might be 10 yrs old or better, also they've not the male hormones which will also make flesh tough and fibrous, unless it's a Capon (Castrated Rooster, we had chickens when I was young but I have absolutely no idea how you castrate a Rooster.

An episode like this makes me wonder if they're cooking multiple dishes in one go and picking the best looking one, because I'm shocked Sam nailed this in one go seemingly on a whim. Not because I don't trust Sam as a chef, I've been watching him for years. But I'm surprised a whole chicken was able to be made into fried chicken whole. What a beast in the kitchen!

I remove excess fat and the pud(tail, the wing tips, and make a couple strategic cuts on both sides of the breast bone and thigh bone before breading. Its not as smooth pretty as an uncut one, but it cooks faster and more evenly, and I think the breast is way better with more breading coverage. Let the bird rest a few minutes please. Thanx for the candid video.

Yeah I dont get kids now not liking blue cheese or things like it. Then again I was made to eat liver and onions back in the day with nasty ass soggy bacon on top so maybe its us not them. Regardless you always make me hungry and feel like cooking and Max you did a great job filming and editing this like all.

They actually only complain and become unwilling to help around the house and do whatever, because they've been made to get used to not helping from early on. As small kids, rhey are eager to help, just not good at it yet. It will be work for you to teach them but once you do, you're (you & they) Gucci.
