Whats one of the best parts about getting a group of friends and heading to Chilis for dinner? The appetizers of course And one of our all time favorites has to be the chile con queso. So weve whipped up a recipe to make sure you can get your fix on this amazing dip for any game night get together, Superbowl party, or even when you e just at home and need that queso Chili Con Queso from Alyssa Noui 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Half a large yellow onion, diced 1 jalapeo, diced 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon cayenne 1 tablespoon cumin 1 tablespoon paprika 1 pound ground beef, 15% fat 1 can diced tomatoes, drained 1 2-pound block Velveeta cheese, large dice To garnish: Fresh jalapeo, sliced Fresno chilies, diced Cilantro sprigs Green onion, sliced Blue tortilla chips Heat oil in a wide saut pan over medium heat. Sweat the onion and jalapeo until translucent. Add salt and spices and cook 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Add the ground beef and break up with a wooden spoon or spatula. When the meat is just about to lose its pink color, add the diced tomatoes and cook until excess liquid is cooked out. Add the Velveeta, turning the heat down to medium low. Let the cheese soften and melt, stirring every few minutes until completely melted and smooth. Serve garnished with jalapeo, cilantro, green onion, chilis and scoop with chips. Cook time: 15 minutes Serves: 8 Makes 6 cups

Im vegeterian so i dont eat the meat but nonetheless it looks so delicious for me is it possible to make it without the meat or instead tofu or something? im sorry for my bad english im from Germany

When I think of cheese the last thing to come to mind is velveeta. processed crap yuck. Get Sargento and take the time to melt it down with low percent milk

Dont get me wrong, a lot of their recipes are great, but I cant STAND her fake attitude and the way she talks. It just. Bothers me.

you should have cooked the meat first separately drained the fat, then add the onions, jalapenos and spices, then the cheese
