Go to for more travel and street food Bangkok is a huge city, but the city comes together into a few central hubs, one of them being Victory Monument. Victory Monument is one of the transportation centers of Bangkok, a lively roundabout that always flowing with traffic of all kinds and bustling with people. In Thailand, as in much of the world as well, where there are lots of people, there will be lots of street shopping and lots of street food as well. Not only can you catch a Bangkok bus, van, taxi, motorbike taxi or the BTS skytrain, you can walk around the entire circumference of Victory Monument ) and snack all the way around. In this video first I stop at a stand selling all kinds of dried and salted fruit. Be sure to try the dry grapes, they are intensely sour and salty on the outside making them a real strange and surprising treat. They are small but will definitely wake you up Street bottles of freshly squeezed bright orange juice are everywhere on the streets of Bangkok and Victory Monument is no different. I stopped at a stall to pick up a bottle of orange juice - and despite it being quite sweet, it was indeed very refreshing The bottle of orange juice cost a total of 50 Thai Baht. A visit to Victory Monument in Bangkok would be incomplete without a visit to the boat noodle alley, one of the most delicious activities to do in Bangkok. The noodles are served in small bowls, so it's customary to eat a lot of bowls and stack them up on the edge of your table. Eat and eat and eat, and when you're done, the waiter simply counts your bowls and tallies up your bill from how many bowls you ate. Thai boat noodles are extremely delicious, flash blanched rice noodles bathed in thick rich porky broth along with a few sprigs of morning glory, some pieces of meat, and a few pork meat balls. If you're hungry in Bangkok, boat noodles will come to the rescue If you're looking for what to do in Bangkok, make sure you include a walk and and eating tour of Victory Monument on your itinerary

Your videos are much enjoyed by my Sukhothai wife & I. She ooh's and ah's at the various dishes, yahg gin Thais enjoy eating more than (almost) anything else and it is an essential part of all social life and how one divides the day. They share this passion with the French and Italians, among others. Very civilized. It should be noted Thai fast food usually comes in a basic comparatively bland form, the condiments add the individual flavor and each person's combination of same is unique

I tried those grapes too lol too sour for my liking lol. A friend of mine asked for suggestions about Thailand so I suggested that she and her hubby look you up on here: -) Although I pointed out the places I stayed and visited. I think your videos are helpful especially to those who are wanting to vacation in thailand: -) I pretty much prefered to get lost around BKK though: -)

I just had my first taste if boat noodles. I was expecting it to be quite nice, what I experienced was the greatest meals I have ever had. I had 5 bowls, some pork some beef. They also gave me a little bowl of pork scratchings which added texture to the bowl. I can't recommend these highly enough. 5 bowls and a coke all for 78 baht. Thanks for this tip Mark.

Thanks for yet another good place to go We'd watched this video a few days back while looking for places to go around here, and put the boat noodle alley on our list of things to do. Couldn't remember if you'd said a specific place was better or not from memory, so we just picked a place. We ended up eating 2 tables behind where you sat in this video: -D

I stayed at Vic3 Bangkok Hotel which was really near Victory Monument and we girls went to have the chicken rice AND the boat noodles. Thanks to your travel guides, we were able to save some energy and sweat walking through the busy streets and able to find the correct places in no time Yum yum still think about the Thai food now: )

It's always been shameful to realize how much I, as a local, have overlooked these small charming details of my very own hometown in which you have reflected so well in your video. With your perspective, I am pretty you did manage to fully immerse yourself in the locality here Congratulations & Awesome vid: )

Hey, thanks for watching and for your support. I'm not too picky and do like just about everything I eat. The grapes are more of the initial surprising shock they give you, so even though I like them, I still cringe especially for the first one. I really do like just about everything

It's a bit hidden away from shop around the bus stop. You'll need to walk away a bit from the bus stop and look for the small canal and you'll find it. here is the map from Rua Thong my favorite boat noodle restaurant. goo. gl/6EaFoQHope this would help
