I am a big fan of JO. Using lot of his books for everyday meal, BUT.
Sometimes I do not understand all this. If schools for they own do not fight for food. If kid's parents do not understand and do not fight for meal in schools, that means only one. leave them as it is.
Those who want will send their kids to schools where food is at high quality. Expensive? Learn how to earn more to be able to send the kids to better school. That is how society are growing and becoming stronger person by person. Stop pulling down level of those who are strong. Start pull up level of weakest part of society chain.
Yes! Kids and basically big part of the generation will be weak snowflakes who cant even make 5 pushups if left all as it is but again. If parents can not see further to his own nose, country will see the consequences in a long term.
It is absolutelly great to see how JO are fighting for food problems in UK and not only in his own country. He fought in US as well. But it is hard to see him as a person who use his energy, mental and physical health to fight with windmill!
Wishing good health to JO!

You might want to start simple make grilled cheese toasts and creamy tomato soup. You could make the tomato soup with roasted red peppers and add veggies and change it up. That is very popular in usa. You could put the Oliver Twist on it and come up with a catchy name and other ingredients. Once these kids try something that you made that they like they will be more likely to try something new that you made in the future. Also, you might want to survey the kids and find out what their favorite fruits and vegetables are and make some recipes w them instead of going in their not knowing that information. Stay strong and cook on!

Thank you Jamie for trying to make the world a better place. Healthy eating habits start at home. When you feed children healthy food (and you don t have to be wealthy) they grow up wanting healthy food. If you don t have junk food in the house, they won t crave it. They will crave real food. You need to teach your children to cook so they know where the food comes from. Cooking/nutrition should be a mandatory class in school at an early age. After all, proper food feeds the body, especially the brain.

I remember the one he did in the U. S. Finally someone brought to light the deplorable food being served to the kids. And yes, don't like it then they can bring their own. However, we pay for the food with our tax funds AND/OR there are children who unfortunately don't have food at home. So, no matter what, there is no excuse for the disgusting and unhealthy food being served in public schools.

The original idea for school dinners was to make sure that children had a nutritious meal. I was in school in the 60's and 70's when we had meat and at least 2 veg and a hot pudding every day. Everyone got the same meal, no question of choices. It wasn't cooked on-site, the cooked ingredients were delivered daily and the dinner ladies, kept it hot and served it, and we are every morsel.

Again couldn't get passed the foul language to even finish this video. Would you please at least bleep it out. I'd love to finishing watching and also show it to our grandson, but not like this. I've been a fan for many years so it very disappointing.

How does anything get cooked when they open the oven a million times a minute. School lunch would never be ready. When kids are programmed to eat junk, that s exactly all they know how to eat. They can t recognize anything healthier options.

here in Chile we would eat Beans, and Lentils, Canned Fish and Rice, Beetroot Salad, Cabbage Salads, etc. Never ever we would eat French Fries or Pizza. Sometimes it wouldn't taste like home but it was hella nutritious and full of veggies

breaking news - teenagers want to eat the same basic unhealthy food they grew up with for lunch so they can use the rest of their lunch break to go play football or smoke out by the bins with their friends

I totally agree with the previous comment. He really cares which is very rare these days. Keep up your excellent work as there are a lot of people who appreciate what you do. Thank you.

So many people slag Jamie off for this, because they're narrow minded idiots that don't understand the benefits from healthier eating.
It's tiring hearing idiots put their 2p in

Gosh I was a kid when he started this campaign. We all hated Jamie for taking away the curly fries! Now of course I'm shocked at how unhealthy the food actually was.

When my son was growing up, I let him pick 2 days of lunches to eat at school each week.
The rest of the time?
He got healthy, nutritious food that he liked.

None of this school lunch stuff in Australia. Mum and dad made a sandwich for all of us and gave us an apple to throw in our lunchboxes to take to school every day.
