Two things I loved about this series: 1) they really pick super interesting unusual places (not your typical 'the mexican food episode'); 2) they always have a segment with the owner explaining the history and take on the food. While they may not be the best at describing food (although I feel they've improved, I hope we get a second season, with better direction (make them look and talk at the camera, one host format is better for that, I'd keep the girl, she tries more) and maybe some basic script lines. I hope it continues. Mexico has so many regional gastronomic traditions to explore yet.

They have been to great locations in Mexico with great hosts and culture but the hosts can't seem to convey this to the viewers. They don't go into the history of certain restaurants or food in that certain locale and moreso, they don't describe their food that I can relate or understand what they are experiencing.

What the fk do you mean by can't believe how flavourful it is because it is lamb? Lamb has such strong flavour in it own, dumb hosts. I really wish you 2 recite the script or lines that are generally used to describe foods. But it is the last episode and I'm more than happy to say never see you both again.

Well it's funny. Today we were talking about the dish known as potato salad, and how there are many different styles of it in the U. S. You have the traditional northeastern variety, and the southern variety, German, Puerto Rican, Dominican etc. All of them use the potato but dress it up differently.

This is one where I wish the chef had had time to eat with them instead of the pre-meal interview. I mean, dang, just how he's thinking about layering flavor would have been awesome to hear more about alongside the dishes.

This series is honestly so good, just because they're exposing you to a culture that you're not familiar with doesn't mean by any means that they're bad host or its a bad series. Definitely top 3 series on Eater.

weird thumbnail. there's nothing more unflattering than a snapshot of someone halfway into shoving food in their mouth. lol. I did enjoy this series, although I preferred the food from the previous episodes.

I really think that food is about diversity and you can see that even with the hosts at Eater. No reason to hate at food you might not find tasty, somebody else does. The same goes with the hosts.

They should talk more towards the camera man, not making it feel like we're just watching them eat but instead feel like we're there with them
