Sorry love. I think there are a few things wrong with the recipe chief among them, the use of baking powder over yeast and steaming the buns for 23 minutes! Despite the long proofing time, the flavour you get from using yeast is incomparable to the chemical taste of using baking powder. Steaming for 23 minutes is just over-cooking. All you need is around 10 minutes at maximum heat.

First time I ever saw a HOT WHITE CHICK make pork bao! GREAT! I usually see my asian girls whip out 200-300 bao everyday at MG. They go so fast, I can't really see what they are doing. Thanks for going at a speed that I can see how to do that! They will be in for a surprise when can do it without tearing it to pieces.

I have watched many of your videos, you have presented lots of simple and easy to follow recipes! In addition, you have a different presentation style than those typical conservative by the book type of Chefs! Great Work! Do continue to excel.

There's actually a better way to fold the bun so that it won't open up while steaming because you can get water in your bun from the steamer which you don't want and the trick to getting white bun is adding white vinegar to the water.

if it is a short cut recipe, you really don't need to stir fried your stuffing before wrapped it in. it wii taste better and more moist: ) more over, it will totally shorter ur time of cooking so give it a try, good luck, gal!

The dudareno put me off> really don't like Californians. The way they infiltrate your state and town is creepy, First your taxes go up and the you loose all your freedoms. They are drones.

That's what the kids in school used to call me, Pork Buns. Sometimes they would catch me and shove pine cones between my ass cheeks while they called me pork buns. It was very hurtful.

Definitely was very interesting seeing someone other than my Chinese mother make pork buns. Who cares whether they're authentic or not as long as they are delicious? xD

hilah you don't know how to fold the buns properly, there shoud be no hole in the middle. the dough should be proof for 30mins, your bun is not soft enough.
