Gaby has the exact same brand of cherries that my mum used to get me when i was little! i was obsessed with them because one was on my milkshake at the Hard Rock Cafe in Paris so she got me some! i was allowed maybe three a day until they were gone, and then we'd put the juice in cream soda with vanilla ice cream this is also how i learned to tie a cherry stem with- you know what i'mma leave that part out

my sister and i recently cleaned out my mom s spice cupboard because she has a habit of collecting and not tossing. we found schilling brand spices. we live on the west coast so that used to be mccormick s western division, but they haven t used schilling labels since 2002. those spices are l e g a l now

Oh my Solha taking a sniff out of those old nuts gave me goosebumps. Please never do that again! Expired nuts may have molds/aflatoxin that causes a number of complications and these can just spread through the air. So please throw them out ASAP!

My sourdough starter is also 5-6 years old! And it have survived me moving twice, me dropping it on the flor (the jar broke but I saved what was on the cap) and me starving it nearly to death XD It's a part of the family at this point!

I have some miso in my fridge that is 10 years old. It started as white miso and now it's a rich reddish color. It is amazingly fragrant and delicious and at this point I don't even want to use it up, because I've grown attached to it.

This is disgusting, y all. food that is 10 years old and you re keeping it to eat later? Grosssss. The oldest thing in my kitchen is probably some spices, but even then they are probably only a month or two past their expiration date.
