The Making of Vogue's December Issue - Vogue

When fashion designer Marc Jacobs was tapped to be the guest editor for Vogue's December issue, he wasn't quite sure he was up to the job. My initial reaction to it was, I don't know how I could do this. but Anna can be very persuasive. Working with model Kaia Gerber as his cover star, Marc helped put together a fashion dream team for the issue, recruiting the likes of famed photographer Steven Meisel, makeup artist Pat McGrath, former Vogue creative director Grace Coddington and more.

This issue is in DEFIANCE of the election results and the celebration in the issue represents our resistance and honoring of the beauty of inclusion, diversity in our Country. Marc's instincts were perfect for our now challenging times, we aren't going anywhere, we aren't invisible, we will persevere.

This looks like a beautiful issue and I’m looking forward to it. I have to say that the nepo models don’t have the talent that the models who arise because of their talent as actors. I miss them.

Didnt they put Kylie Jenner in september Don't give me the cp about creativity, risks and edginess. Its all about the money and then later compensating it partly with something thats actually fashion

I don't wanna get my hopes up, but. this is exactly how you bring Vogue back to its most glimmering version. The care and love that went into this can be felt on every image.

Marc and Anna have been around for 30 years! Vogue needs new creative people, bring on the new Chapple Roans of fashion. Tired of these dinosaurs!

Kaia is far too thin. What happened to designers supposed support for normal sized women This is why fashion magazines are irrelevant these days.

I love the fashion the beauty and the creativity. But people, women, don’t dress anymore. Let’s start to wear these beautiful fashions

I love this short documentary style approach. It reminds me a little bit of The September Issue as it takes us behind the glossy pages.

This content, or I should say story, is truly fantastic. As a photographer myself it inspires me with its creativity and positivity

The oversized dresses seem inspired by the mourning mother painting Giuseppe molteni. Something about them drooping seems so fitting

Beautiful pictures, but how can he do anything with those very silly nails I realize he’s willing do put up with the discomfort

I hope this inspires Anna to take more risks with Vogue. I've seen with the past couple of issues that they're trying to be more creative.

When Europe has geniuses like McQueen, but the States can only be proud with designers like MJ and they think they are artsy

The messaging behind this issue is so surface level. I would have loved to see Vogue actually say something with their platform.

Anytime you get to see inside an issue of Vogue or anything by Vogue, is truly a gift. It's so fascinating and beautiful!

Anna should do this with a plethora of other designers as well, I think it will refresh Vogue and make it exciting again.

I'm absolutely not in any way associated with this Industry, but this is fabulous. It's a joy to see artists do what they love.
