Dear Tati, I have been trying to find a foundation that fits my skintone and doesn't oxidize during the day, I have been using for years now the Maybelline Affinitone protecting & perfecting foundation in the color porcelain, that color is the only that seems to fit. I prefer to use high end makeup and I can't seem to find anything that is close to this formula and most importantly, color. Every time I try, it either oxidizes when I wear it, or it's a different shade to begin with. So many brands out there and you'd think I would find more than one that fits. 1. Do you have any tips on how to know, when purchasing, if the foundation will oxidize? 2. And if you do get a chance to swatch it or try it (I actually like it, it just gets a little oily for me during the day, bc of oily skin), do you think you know a good replacement? Thank you beforehand, You are the only makeup investigator I trust, because of your honest reviews.

Hi Tati: ) I've got a foundation problem I am really struggling with the oxidisation of foundations on my skin. I cleanse and moisturise my skin ever single day and apply my foundation lightly with a beauty blender. I have tried a variety of foundations available in Britain including Rimmel, Maxfactor and L'oreal but none of these stay dewey throughout the day whether I apply a light powder over the top or not. I am all for a natural finish and this patchy texture I am getting is very frustrating My favourite concealor is the age rewind also but this is drying out really quickly too Please help xxx

My current foundation routine for my combo oily skin, is 1 drop of Cover FX custom cover drops mixed with the Loreal Infallible foundation. It is perfect and lasts so long and stays matte for most of a long day. If it gets a little oily toward the end, I apply a light dusting of powder. I use a beauty sponge to apply and it looks so great. The Loreal Infallible has such a yellow undertone and I have such a pink undertone, and so if I don't use the P30 or P40 shade of the Cover FX drops, it makes me look too sallow. It is the perfect combo for my skin.

I LOVE Fiona stiles I tried her out after your recommendations, I could not find a good foundation that didn't break me out for the life of me, I have very dry and very acne-prone skin, so most foundations either broke me out or looked dry and cakey, but Fiona Stiles luminous foundation blew me away It's now my holy grail, I highly recommend it Also, I found loreal infallible pro-matte to be extremely drying, granted I am very dry. What kind of finish does nars all day luminous weightless have?

I never ever wear foundation because my skin is pretty good I would say and ya I just never where it but lately my skin has been having a lot of imperfections, and on my prom day someone did my makeup and they used foundation on me and I loved it so much I didn't feel it on my face and it looked so nice on me and it was the NARS all day luminous weightless foundation and when I went to go color match even the lady at sephora color matching me was saying how good it looks on me

What about Armani luminous silk foundation? I've purchased samples and the full size, but Sephora does not carry it in my area, so it is impossible to find the right shade. Is there anything comparable? I have a few other samples that I am testing, but I haven't found anything yet. I currently kept a lighter shade before I purchase another darker shade just in case I find something just as good or better. any suggestions?

Best pro-tip: be aware of what base is in your primer and foundation. What I mean by that is whether it's mostly water based or highly silicone/-oxane based. Most primers are highly silicone based, and when you put a more water based foundation on top of it, the foundation ends up slipping on top of the primer because the silicone and water kinda repel each other

I would love if you would do foundations for fair skin. There aren't a lot of us but what's available ranges from pink to yellow. Even buying high end is tough due to florescent lighting in most cosmetic departments. What you come home with looks different outdoors than indoors. Thanks

I would love you to do the same kind of video but with tinted moisturizers or with more sheer foundations and BB creams, because I rarely use foundation and when I wear one I like it to be sheer, because otherwise I feel like I have too much on my face Could you do that? Thanks very much: )
