showing you what happened when I used castor oil and coconut oil on my hair. On one side of my hair I used castor oil and on the other side I used coconut oil. I know that the best way to repair split ends is by trimming your hair. However, I think it's well known that oils like coconut oil and castor oil can both help restore health back into hair. Because I know that both oils are really popular, I wanted to test them out together to see which oil would work best for my hair. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Ive started using castor oil mixed with jojoba oil to tame the frizz. I use some on my scalp too except for my scalp i mix just castor oil and clove oil. I have kind of curly hair. I have tried coconut oil many times even organic and for some reason it eventually makes my hair break. Its the weirdest thing ever. I will put coconut on the ends and it will be all shiny and frizz free then the next day it seems my hair will absorb it and be very dry and brittle and would break. I have friends who use coconut oil and their hair is fine but mine i dont know what it is. it just does not like coconut oil.

Coconut Oil and Castor Oil serve different purposes for hair! Coconut oil can penetrate and repair strength on the inside the hair shaft preventing or lessening breakage, the castor oil helps to close the cuticle and coat the outside of the hair strand to protect and prevent/lessen breakage. A blend of both would be optimal!

The secret is the application! Folks, soaking your hair in oils is the worst possible ever! I suggest to put whatever oil you want but use a wide tooth comb to apply on the length of you hair and fingers for your scalp+a good ol- 5-minute scalp massage and wrap it with plastic or a scarf and let it stay for a good 2 hours!

Try to use gloves with castor oil because it is a laxative. And you getting it on your skin and then you touching your face and it reaching your eyes/around your mouth or even in your ears or any kind of broken skin due to acne. It will make you poop like crazy. Lol. Its super good to grow hair tho, no objections

I heard from hairdressers that coconut oil doesn't really seep into the hair as much as other hair oils do (like jojoba, argan, almond. It just lays on top of your hair and other than make it shiny doesn't do anything. whereas other oils moisturize, strengthen, and help with head conditions like dandruff

Hi Audrey, ty for your videos, lots of blessings, I-m having a hard time getting the oils out of my hair even after 2 washes and I don-t want to dry my hair out by washing too much, may I kindly ask what shampoos do you use? I so appreciate it, Blessings, Viki

it's better to mix the oils, being castor oil is super thick it is best to mix other oils into it I usually mix almond oil, castor oil, a little sesame oil. or try almond oil rather than coconut oil, almond oil is more moisturizing

Honestly I have never used castor oil for damaged hair! I've always used it in DIY's for hair growth. Whereas coconut oil is great for hydration, anti frizz and it repairs damaged ends. Also, it's helped combat my dandruff

What I do is heat a little castor oil and coconut oil together leave it on my head for two hours then take my shower but don-t apply it on your head when it-s hot apply it when it-s warm
