Today I am so excited to introduce you all to Alisa Vitti, functional nutrition and women's hormone expert, founder of FLO Living, and author of In the FLO: Unlock Your Hormonal Advantage and Revolutionize Your Life. To get one free month of FLO28 use code: EMILYFLO https://cyclesyncingmembership.com Follow Alisa: https://www.instagram.com/floliving/?... Flo Living: https://www.floliving.com/ In the FLO book: https://intheflobook.com/ My Flo Tracker: https://myflotracker.com/ Alisa has been fully invested in researching women-s bodies and today we speak about everything from PMS to hormones to cycle syncing to sex to birth control and pretty much all other assumptions about how women-s bodies are supposed to function. I-m curious are any of you experiencing issues with PMS or your hormones? Alisa's Cycle Syncing Method has seriously helped me find balance in my life. I feel happier, more productive and so much more in tune with my body. In our conversation, Alisa really took a deep dive into hormonal imbalance and how that can affect the way we as women feel. She also really explains how you can regulate your period with food and all of the other fallacies surrounding PMS and what is normal and what isn-t. Do any of you struggle with PMS? If so what is something you thought was normal that isn-t? Would love to hear about your experiences in the comments below! Alisa also touches on sexual wellness and how that aspect of our lives is very much dictated by hormones as well as other aspects too. Our conversation was so fascinating and eye opening and I hope that you all find this conversation and topic as helpful and educational as I did! :) Love, Emily

I-ve been tracking my cycles for over four years now. Birth control hurts my mind and body. I personally didn-t find it worth the mood swings and I like to know that my thoughts and emotions are actually My thoughts and emotions, and aren-t being effected by birth control.
I also went on the paleo diet and did an intensive supplement protocol and within three months my periods stopped being heavy or painful and went back to its natural state! I agree that periods aren-t meant to actually be painful, I believe the biggest factor is stress, not only physical but also spiritual and emotional stress.
Tracking and healing my cycle has been a profound and powerful practice. I feel more in tune with my maternal lineage and women in general. I feel more empowered with myself.
I just wanted to share that it is indeed very possible to take our health back into our hands. So grateful this information is finally being shared! Love you women -----

I-ve watched about half and while I can say I admire this women-s research and ability to maintain a 60 lb weight loss, I don-t find her to be credible. She doesn-t have a medical degree and they way she speaks is very promotional. A doctor would never come on and say -that suits all women- or -try this and it will work right away- without knowing the patient. I also am somewhat upset at the idea that we can workout when we want or are not supposed to be as -effective- in creative tasks certain parts of the month. Should I say to my boss -sorry I couldn-t get that done I wasn-t in my luteal phase-... to me that just adds more fuel to the partriarchal idea that we are less capable at different times of the month. Just my thought!

Emily thank you so much for posting this! The past few months I-ve been suffering from horrible PMS symptoms. I didn-t have my period for about 6 years and it came back with a vengeance. I thought it was something I would just have to accept but knowing I can take control and help alleviate the pain and discomfort is a huge relief. Thank you!

Ghrelin is a hormone, not a neurotransmitter. A lot of the information being disseminated here is inaccurate and misconstrued. I like the idea of a holistic approach to women's health (which I believe is the point of this video) but the information here is quite inaccurate so take these ideas with a grain of salt.

Emily, It looked like you really struggled focus at times during this conversation. You were trying not to laugh when there was nothing obviously funny being said, looking around your desk, completely distracted by other things around the computer screen, as she was speaking. I've never seen you so distracted...-

This was super amazing and informative! It-s crazy how much we know our bodies intuitively as women but have allowed society and ourselves to suppress our true nature. I-m so glad we-re having these discussions so our young queens are more aware of how to handle the changes that come with being a woman.

So beyond helpful and comforting knowing that the rebound hell time coming off of the pill impacting the brain, attraction, smells noticeably different, androgen rebound etc is all normal. So CRAZY We don-t get education on this as teens before going on it

Wow so interesting. I-m actually really struggling with this and feel like I-m just beginning to learn. I-ve been using birth control for 10 years, and now I-m super scared of not using anymore because I don-t want to get pregnant, anyone any tips?

It wasn't mentioned in the video and I couldn't find the info on the internet, is she a doctor? Or what is her educational background, how did she get there? That would be really interesting to know :) Great video!
