What is history but the story of how politicians have squandered the blood and treasure of mankind
The RMS Carpathia (the ship that rescued survivors of the Titanic) may have played a role in starting WWI. Man later identified as part of the group of assassins pestered the captain to be put ashore ahead of the ship's next port of call. Wanting to be rid of them and not knowing the future, the captain obliged. He would spot their pictures in that next port's newspapers. The RMS Carpathia would go on to be a casualty of the war to come.

My father knew someone who worked for Apple at the very start. I grew up in Seattle and my dad told me the story growing up. This gentleman who worked for Apple at the start, was unhappy because they where being paid in company shares. At the start like any company, they don't necessarily have the assets to pay employees. So wanting to get paid in actual money, they quit the company. If they would have played the long game they would be set.

Ignoring the August 6th, 2001 CIA daily presidential briefing. All those people in that room and it’s dismissed immediately. Says two things. They knew enough to upgrade security measures that would have seen the box cutters confiscated. And thus, it was allowed to happen.

Hold on! the quote, The United States was responsible for numerous war crimes. Yes, there were some, undoubtedly. But it would be blind to ignore the horrors of what the North Vietnamese did to civilians and to captured US soldiers.
Let's keep things balanced.

it’s heartbreaking to see that North Korea's citizens are so scared but they don’t wanna start a rebellion. One day Kim Jong-un will fall and democracy will prevail. i’m surprised his wife hasn’t overthrown him.
