Superman giving the people what they want in Superman vs The Elite is such an overwhelming victory for Superman. He wins the moral argument, and even if you don't agree with him, you definitely aren't gonna look up to Manchester after he cried, pissed himself, and outright said Superman shouldn't do things Manchester's way. The fact the movie adaptation came out exactly one year before Man of Steel was set to release is just the cherry on top.
By the way, in the comic, he doesn't even cut out that part of Manchester's brain that has powers. He just gave him an internal concussion so they'd be turned off for a few minutes.

Idk I think owl man's death was poetic not dark. His whole thing was in a multiverse of infinite possibilities and choices the only real choice is to end life. He's given a choice where he could save himself and maybe in another earth he does save himself, but that owlman chose to not make a choice because it doesn't matter if he did.

Not interfering with passing time is a critical rule of the universe Jor-El relayed to Superman in _Superman: The Movie, _ but Barry should’ve taken that rule seriously if he didn’t want the events of _Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox_ to transpire.

Everything in Batman: The Killing Joke is already dark especially when The Joker shot Barbara in the legs and stomach while also singing I Go Looney with Commissioner Gordon being tortured of seeing his daughter suffering through some injuries.

This is a top 20 list At least 10 of the entries better be from Justice League Dark Apocolypse War
EDIT: As the countdown went on, I was starting to get worried, but I see what you did here.

#10: The first Saico-tek(blue & dark pink) was from Brushogun to get the Titans to Tokyo, the second Saico-tek(all dark pink) was ordered by Commander Daisho to get rid of them, especially Robin.

I think we can all agree that number one SHOULD have been The Joker's death in the Batman Beyond movie
When it's so graphic, you have to shoot an alternate death scene, you KNOW it's a Dark moment

And people complain the DC movies were too dark. Please. DC has ALWAYS been dark. They just didn't see it. That is why I prefer DC over Marvel. DC is willing to go places Marvel won't touch.

Injustice animated is what got me started into this genre. I was so taken aback as to what The Joker could have done to have caused Superman to punch a hole into him.

My top 3
Under the Red Hood's murder of Jason Todd
Joker shooting Barbara
And number 1 - and the best.
Evil Superman in Injustice AND Superman vs The Elite

reply

Injustice. ’
Based on the popular video game series created by the people who made the whole MK franchise. But sadly, the R-rated animated became underrated.

reply

Honestly, Netherrealm Studios is one of my favorite video game developers, and I appreciated their efforts in making Injustice and Mortal Kombat games.
reply

DC sure does have a thing for making their animated movie’s very dark, way more dark than the live action one’s, and better too actually, just saying
reply

Lets not forget that after Flash's death in Injustice, the team nor anyone else were mourning his death and didn't gave him a funeral
reply

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War’ = My number one favorite DCAMU movie.
