Just for anyone watching in 2023 trying to learn this game:
1. You ONLY shuffle the remaining tiles with the discard pile to form the new deck when you must draw three and cannot (ie. only 1 or 2 left and president needs to draw 3 cards. This allows the opportunity for card counters to say (for instance, -There SHOULD be a blue left in that stack, I propose we fail votes to make the remaining tiles flip automatically. -
2. There is a restriction for who can be nominated chancellor for games with 6-10 players. You may not nominate anyone that was just in a successfully elected presidency. So for 5 player games or 6 or 7 player games where 1-2 people have been killed, that rule does not apply.
3. As several people have mentioned, when a policy is automatically enacted due to three failed votes in a row, the power does not go to whomever currently has the President plaque. That person is only the President-elect until they have been voted in.
Note: It probably would have been good strategy for everyone just to vote -no- after the woman on the left claimed -1 red, two blues-. Liberals only needed 2 blues to win. If she was wrong about the order in which she read them, then the next blue would work to vindicate her and they could keep pushing for a Liberal victory. If a second red came out, then it would confirm that she is a fascist and not to ever be trusted again. It does add two reds to the board, which puts them equally close to a policy victory, but having table-wide confirmation of someone's party affiliation with only 5 players is extremely strong.

Fun watch. I guessed Pat was guilty right from the get go. He was the only one that acted consistently suspicious. As soon as he played the first liberal law and awkwardly said, -that-s good cause it means we-re not burning through liberal laws-, that was when I knew. Sounded too much of an obvious and forced statement. And he continued doing a lot of deflecting and planting suspicions onto others all throughout the game, but was very silent otherwise. So I guessed Pat and Clayton were the Fascists near the beginning, but then became less certain about Clayton as time went on.
Funnily enough, Jeff never seemed guilty to me, just anxious and maybe doesn-t do well under pressure haha. Most of what made Jeff appear guilty were the pressures from comments/deflections initiated by Pat, which only added to my hypothesis that Pat was a Fascist. Simone completely flew under the radar for me! Well played.

Where are our red comrades? Well, i would guess they got exterminated by the fascists while the liberals were like -well, i may not agree with their opinion, but i will die for their right to say it. Oh no, i meant the communists will die for it, sorry. Well, technically their opinion was just that communists should be dead, a little bit circular now that I think about it.
Ok, now i got it:
I don't agree with them, and the communists are dead, and we will probably be too. Damn, i think I don't want to actually die for their right to be racist. Should have done something lol. -

Pat really gave himself away when it was his turn to kill somebody and he didn't consider Simone for even a second. It was obvious that she was completely out of the question for him, when at this point she was actually quite suspicious. Not only was she on the first team that passed a fascist law, but she was president at the time. She could have easily discarded a liberal law and nobody would have known about it.
Of course, I'm saying this now, having watched this video a dozen times. The first time I had no clue at all lol.

I knew it was Simone a quarter of the way through the video. She was -telling- like crazy the whole time. Count how many times she touches her hair and rubs her nose. Her partner drew my attention much later because he was very stiff and rigid, almost no animation at all. That struck me as a bit too controlled and robotic. My assumption is that he's played a lot of poker. The others seemed comfortably animated or relaxed most of the time which felt more like they were exhibiting natural behavior.

This group was awful to watch, and that guy who got killed was so bad at being a liberal constantly incriminating himself. Like if you-re bad at the game just don-t talk. And powers don-t go into effect if a fascist policy is automatically played from a failed vote, cuz no active president is in play. Smosh plays this much better. This cast has horrible chemistry together. Almost as they-re forced to play it. Awful video

i have rewatched this a multiple times but spoilers ahead: after refusing to form a government the first time was there anything stopping them from doing it again and passing two liberal laws in succession, thereby ending the game and causing the liberals to win?

You don't activate the power on a failed government policy! I can't find anyone on YT who plays this game right it seems. That being said - other than that you guys did a good job it was very entertaining. Pat should have voted nein in that last vote but oh well.

I was playing this game with a group of friends, and the fascists were winning, I was a fascist with 2 others, we got to the kill power, AND THEY KILLED ME for no reason, and we ended up losing because I died. But they called it a power play

If the group rejects three
governments in a row, the country is thrown into
chaos. Immediately reveal the Policy on top of
the Policy deck and enact it. - Any power granted
by this Policy is ignored - that means he can't shoot

To point out, when you top deck a F card for the bullet, you dont actually shoot anyone, otherwise its way too highly beneficial for the Fascists and they would win 86% of games, instead of 62% if chancellors are selected randomly

Or most times liberals pass all these laws that give the government power thinking it's in there best interest like ban guns to lower crime only to have it completely backfired when they have no way to defend themselves crazy huh

Actually when after having failed 3 times to form a government a fascist law is revealed, the effects the law would have (in your case kill someone) are ignored (a rule I really do not like but these are the official rules)

Ashley couldn't have been elected chancellor because she was involved in the previous government. Even though they won, the liberals should have stalled the vote 3 times because they knew the top 2 cards were liberal.

That ending is where you break character, talk to your fascist partner, and force the tie every time. There were no more liberal laws in the deck, so the liberals couldn't do anything at all to win.

The game is awesome but this video annoys me a lot since they've had one of the fascist cards put on the board the other way around and one liberal card as well. :) YES, I HAVE OCD.

The people don't eve know the rules. If a policy is enacted by the election tracker, the power is ignored. Also u can't nominate anyone who was in the previous term as chansellor.

When they kept passing to pass the first law in the deck couldn't the fascist have won when pat became president by choosing to elect Simone as chancellor and then with her voting yes?

If a fascist policy gets forced through due to not electing a government, the special power is ignored, so don't have to shoot a player if it's by accident.
