honestly I don't see how people see this scene as cringey or 'bad' it's actually kind of heartbreaking and bittersweet honestly. the characters in the scene even point out how 'awkward' tidus and yuna are being too so it's not like the 'wow this is awkward' angle wasn't intentional. also honestly, this redo of the scene was fantastic like honestly made me smile the whole time good work guys

I remember how quickly this game took me from -finally, JRPGs are going to get voice acting, this is going to change everything! - to -oh god why did we ever let them put voice acting in JRPGs? -

every time i revisit this scene, which i do often, it's a favorite scene from a favorite game, i always remember allegra's dramatization of yuna's little hitch before she joins in the laughter

Everyone laughs at this scene (no pun intended) but slight awkwardness aside, I think it's really touching and fun. Just a couple of teenagers playing around. They deserve it

I saw the thumbnail and caption of this and literally shouted -OH MY GOD. - You don't truly understand Tidus laugh unless you were there that first time, in 2001.

Awwwww this scene! I love this game so much! -//v//-
Video game theaters are so damn good
I'd love if you do a Haunting ground one

such beauty, such elegance, such tenacity, this is the theatre I want to see they were born to play these roles. BRAVO! BRAVO!

They just keep getting more and more uncomfortable to watch. Which honestly means you guys are getting better and better at this

where is the promised tetris video. that last one in the credits. i can only assume it is being saved for a momentous occasion.
reply

I know I'm wicked late to the game with these videos, but I saw what it was and started laughing before the video even started.

I swear there's a kid somewhere out there being raised on Polygon videos and studiously taking notes. He will be God Emperor.

This 'content' is pretty bottom of the barrel. I've seen children make better attempts at entertaining an audience.

-scrolls through video game theatre playlist looking at the release years of the games-
man 2001 had some issues

I knew from the first episode of Video Game Theatre that this one was coming, and I was not disappointed.

The clip of them spinning in circles in front of the Tetris background in the credits gets me every time

3: 24 It's weird hearing Simone do a normal outward laugh instead of her normal inverted demon laugh
reply

Call me a stubborn single-minded connoisseur, but I still prefer Simone's original undubbed laughter.
