As a fan of Mary-Kate & Ashley for almost their entire lives, and the owner of one of their biggest fan pages back in the day, I would've loved to see them in Fuller House. However, I respect their decision not to do it. They were forced into acting at a young age, and to this day they can't even step outside or go on vacation in another country without the paparazzi following them around. They are doing great in fashion, and that's their passion. We should be happy for them.

I don’t blame Jennette McCurdy for not coming back as it would have been like opening an old wound. While Miranda, Nathan, and Jerry would have been there for her, she experienced too much back then. Also if I may say, I think she’s one of the most tragic Nickelodeon stars. If you really think about it there was no safe haven for her. Being on set was a nightmare and after reading her book being home wasn’t any better

It seems like every time a revival or legacy sequel is announced, there’s always at least one actor who played an extremely important role who won’t return. Either because they died or ruined their career or moved on to other career opportunities or just don’t want anything to do with it.

OA I guess I can’t blame Jennette McCurdy for not returning to the reboot of iCarly, if she wanted to write a book about the passing of her Mother I’m sure my Aunt Holly would read it but not me. Still I also wonder how she feels about the series Between getting cancelled.

I can definitely understand why Jeannette passed on returning to the role on Sam on the iCarly reboot, given her past experiences and her not wanting to be reminded of those experiences.
It'd probably be the same if there was a reboot of Sam & Kat

At least the iCarly reboot respected Jennette and Noah's decision not to return to the reboot, unlike Fuller House with Mary Kate and Ashley. That collective disapproving glance directly to the camera was seriously uncalled for, and was cringy to watch.

Jennette McCurdy’s tragic story is the reason why T. V. networks should make sure actors are enthusiastic and passionate about acting in order to avoid toxic controversies like this. Jennette’s story hurt Miranda and everyone around her.

I understand Jennette's decision and that she never wanted to be an actress; but I thought the only thing she liked was hanging with Miranda, Nathan, & Jerry and would come back only for them

I'd like to think that Jenette McCurdy made more money on her book than what Nickelodeon was willing to pay for the hush money of 300, 000 dollars to keep quiet. Can anyone confirm this
reply

I respect Jennette McCurdy's decision not to return to acting. What she went through made me cringe. However, it makes me happy to hear that she stays in touch with Miranda Cosgrove.
reply

I don't blame Jennette McCurdy one bit for not wanting to return to television. She'd been through enough as it is, and I'm glad the reboot respected her decision.
reply

Sadly, they completely missed the point with the iCarly reboot, the show was BOTH of them. Without either, the show should've never moved on to filming.
reply

At least they were able to get around Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker's feud by not having them be in the same room when Cattrall filmed her cameo.

I wished Samantha would come back and do something outrageous, like suing Carrie for all of her Big money for a breach of contract or something.
reply

I can see why Jeannette McCurdy did not come back in the iCarly reboot. Given how horrible Dan Schneider treated her and the other child actors.
reply

Honestly I don't blame Jennette for not being part of the iCarly reboot. Her new career as an author and director is much better for her!
reply

I do understand Jennette mcurdys reasons to not return but it would’ve been nice to Sam one more time and to see her story wrap nicely
