we’re counting down our picks for musical groups with the greatest talent for vocal harmony. Our countdown includes Bee Gees, Queen, the Beatles, and more! Did we forget YOUR favorite harmonizers I agree with the Beatles, the Bee Gees, Queen, Simon and Garfunkel, Boyz to Men, the Carpenters and ABBA.
But can't agree with the Beach Boys, the Four Seasons and Fleetwood Mac. Talented groups but not in the Top 10 Bands with the Best Harmony.
Seals and Croft should be on the list or at minimum an honorable mention. Move Crosby, Stills and Croft onto the list, as well as the Everly Brothers. What about Extreme More than Words is a fantastic example of their harmony. Much better than the screaming of the Beach Boys. The Eagles Have you ever heard Seven Bridges Road Blows anything Fleetwood Mac has done with respect to harmony.
I enjoy your lists but this one may be the weakest of the bunch.

You forgot to include The Eagles.
They were the best vocalists the 1970’s had.
On songs like Train Leaves Here This Morning, Saturday Night, Ol’ 55, Lyin’ Eyes, New Kid in Town, The Sad Cafe, Love Will Keep Us Alive, Hole in the World and How Long, they prove that harmony is most important when it comes to music.

It's criminal that you left off Alice in Chains (No Excuses, I Stay Away, Down in a Hole)
And Barenaked Ladies! (Brian Wilson, If I Had $1, 000, 000, Odds Are, Pinch Me, One Week, Big Bang Theory)
Not even an Honorable Mention Both of these bands have been doing it for over 25 years so to omit them was egregious.

Well the Beach Boys certainly deserve one of the top spots, I believe number one definitely belongs to Queen. When you listen to their entire catalog you find a depth and range that is extraordinary. Yes, there are other bands that had great harmonies but Queen had great harmonies while breaking new ground.

I'm going to have to agree with the rest of the comments. I'm very surprised the Eagles didn't even get an honorable mention. However, I'm not surprised Yes got overlooked again. I guess they're just so far superior to all other bands that it would be ridiculous include them in ANY list.

Uuhhmmmm okay so it's a nice list but what about bands with heavier sounds that harmonize beautifully Two that come to mind are System of a Down and Breaking Benjamin. Maybe this could be a whole other list. Top 10 Metal/Rock Bands with the Best Harmonies. Ick. Just a thought.

2 of the 3 top selling albums of all time in the US are by THE EAGLES and almost every song is highlighted by gorgeous, seamless harmonies, sometimes with 5 vocalists. Only band that comes close to their harmonic perfection are the Beach Boys, but Eagles > Beach Boys

I can't even fathom how Pentatonix failed to make a list of the musical groups with the greatest talent for vocal harmony. Even worse that the Carpenters did make the list! Their songs weren't bad, but it's mostly Karen Carpenter's voice carrying every song.
reply

I grew up hearing almost all of these bands from my parents playing them. Abba, Bee Gees, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel were all HUGE parts of my childhood. And as I’ve gotten older I’ve heard a lot of Mamas and Papas, The Temptations, The Carpenters

I love this video!
Queen is my all time favorite band. although I love alot of the others on this list too.
Tge four season gives me chills, I love franki vallies voice.
Boys II men and the Carpenters too. the latter being a favorite of mine

reply

The Beatles, Queen, and BeeGees. It’s like I wrote this list myself. But I definitely wouldn’t have made this video. Why the hll would you put The Beatles on this list, and then play a bunch of their songs that have barely any harmonizing
reply

power to the girl power no girl groups have these harmonizes like little mix cheetah girls pussycat dolls destiny's child hello the supremes backstreet boys savage garden nsync any group can harmonize forgotten some didn't we jonas brothers
reply

Im biased, but I love New Edition and their side projects and solo careers. I'm convince they are better at harmonizing than Boyz II Men because NE's voices were more divergent and that would make harmonies more difficult to sound good.
reply

When I first saw this list my first thought was I hope ABBA’s on this list and then they were the first mentioned group. Well just now I thought The Beatles better be on this list and then the next group mentioned was The Beatles!
reply

I don't think the Beach Boys should be #1, in my opinion. They only sang 2 styles of music but yes they harmonized very well. The Bee Gees sang lots of different styles of music and their voices were smooth like butter.
reply

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH Where in the world are EAGLES How could they not be on this list. They ALL sang. Seven bridges road anyone MsMojo - you done screwed up big time. Eagles should be #2, just behind Beach Boys.
reply

Simon & Garfunkel at #9 The Beatles at #6 CSN, the Mamas & the Papas, and the Everly Brothers are only honorable mentions You didn't even include the Eagles Have you ever heard Seven Bridges Road
reply

They completely ignored any modern vocal groups as well as some of the cassics of the past. Oh well, they have their biases just like us. I, overall liked the list and am glad Beach Boys was at the top.
reply

The Eagles should have been on this list. #1. They had a very unique and haunting sound. Each member took turns doing lead vocals and they appealed to listeners of rock, country and folk music.
