Seeing all these sports makes me sad because other extracurricular activities barely have representation in movies and its kinda sad. Dont get me wrong watches some of these other teen sports movie but I would love to see movies representing the life of a band student or something because teen movies at least the ones I seen make us band Greeks look bad and seem lame. Plus imagine a battle of the bands scene would be like.

The lack of Coach Carter mars this entire list as that is one of the most powerfully moving basketball films ever made. The Blindside deserved to be on this list as well as that film meant just as much to teenagers as it did to adults. Also He Got Game is way better than half the films that made the list, with excellent performances from Denzel Washington and Ray Allen.

I hate football, but one movie I love is the Kendricks Brothers' Facing the Giants. Full of heart, drama, and comedy. The Death Crawl scene will have you holding your breath before cheering. and you'll never see the arms up in a goal position the same way again. They also have a movie about high school track, Overcomer.

You are saying that of the 14 best youth sports movies, 13 are stories about the US? Basketball and American football appear to be the only sports to rate more than one selection. This is a very myopic review of the global sports movie scene.

You'd be surprised at how small the gym in the movies Hoosiers is. The town the movie was filmed in actually uses that gym for little league.
