Great series. I'm a music composer named David Dangerfield from Melbourne Australia. I've adapted a musical i wrote into a 100 page, dystopian, sci fi fantasy novel aimed at 18 to 24 year olds called 'The Music of The Spheres'. Technically didactic it is a short but deep read exploring themes referencing Australian indigenous culture, music, dance, fashion, politics, special needs kids, ecological disaster, an harmonic pandemic, mythology and metaphysics. It also has, within poetic and surreal layers, music and dance descriptions, as well as song lyrics. Check it out; )
Story synopsis: The world of the not-too distant future is plagued with ecological disaster, economic collapse and ruled by a tyrannical corporation called Omni. A twelve year old Afghan boy named Orpheus, cast among millions of ecological and political victims within a mass detention facility in central Australia, can bend reality with his singing voice. Careful to evade Omni's brutal oppression and obsessive control over emerging new dimensional possibilities known as the 'The Spheres', Orpheus teaches his gifts there to a growing counter culture of 'Orphics'.
With the help of a blind Australian indigenous elder named Yunuringa and the arrival of the comet causing the dimensional anomalies, prophesied to be an ancient artificial intelligence arc known as The Argus, Orpheus leads the Orphics at mass Corroborees in The Spheres. With collective voice, they heal the sick, empower the poor and mend the Earth's ecology. Evolving the hearts and minds of all who can hear. The Music of the Spheres.

To me the saddest moments were
1. Dustin at the snow ball because he looked so handsome and he worked hard on his hair and then his friends make fun of him and girls just walk away from him. Nancy is a real one for dancing with him though
2. Bobs death, I actually really liked bob, he was actually nice to jonathan and will and joyce as well, and he was a hero.
3. Billys Sacrifice, cus billy was an asshole but it was for a reason. His dad was an abusive piece of shit and ofc thats gonna change billy. But in the end he was actually a kind person who just got the wrong dad

I just want to say that in my opinion I think the whole Alexei's death thing is VERY VERY OVERRATED. He was on the show for like one episode when other characters have been here way longer. People say he was having fun in Hawkins and it was sad that he died. I mean yeah, it was sad. But you guys make it seem like the entire cast just died. I wasn't really sad when Alexei died because I didn't care. You will probably not agree with me because you are probably one of the many people who think Alexei's death was real sad. But it is just my opinion.

For me- it's Mike and Will's fight in Season 3. When Will wants to spend time with his friends, and all they want to do is hang out with their girlfriends. Even in my 20s, it's a frustration I know well having friends in serious relationships, constantly balancing friend time and couple time, often the latter taking time from the former. It made me cry so badly for him as he tears apart his fort.

The saddest moment was when mews died, it was so emotional and heartbreaking I could never recover. Mews carried the whole show and every single second she was in it she slayed. I am in tears typing this, so sad for mews.
