Cant buy me love reminds me of another Patrick Dempsey movie from around the same time, where he had to earn a large amount of money over the summer and I dont even remember why he needed so much money. All I remember is his pizza delivery job wasnt cutting it so he somehow started a side hustle as an escort. Middle aged women would call his pizza delivery job and if they were looking for the escort, the code word was to order the pizza with anchovies. There was this scene where this lady ordered pizza with anchovies for her kids and Patrick Dempsey is about to strip when he hears the kids yell, did you get the anchovies Mom? And Patrick Dempsey is booking it trying to leave quickly with his pants half off. Kirstie Allie was in it.
While I liked Cant buy me love, I think I liked this other movie even more but for the life of me I cant remember the name of it.

At the end of the 80's, I was 12/13 years old so there wasn't one movie on this list that I didn't see and love, including the honorable mentions. What a great time to be a pre-teen. I was lucky enough to have a VCR in my bedroom so the local video store (Movie Mania) was my best friend!
With that said, Better Off Dead shouldn't have been #1. Can't Buy Me Love and Real Genius were much much better movies. Hell, even Teen Witch and Once Bitten were better in that campy 80's movie cliche way. With Real Genius, NOTHING beats the ending. just make sure you have your popcorn ready for good 80's cheesiness!

Can somebody help me find a movie from 80 ties, I dont know name of it but it includes: science, boy scientist who accidentally invented a thick liquid, which when it falls on something it comes to life, for example the liquid fell on a magazine with a naked woman and the woman from the magazine came to life, I know this is maybe not enouhs but its all I remember, If anyine knows or remember pls help. So weird that Can't buy me love was a bomb at its release, it's a fantastic movie. perfect curve. simple sure but a gem. Also, check out the tragic life of the hot girl in that movie, Amanda, she got raped, ended up a crack head and then overdozed or killed. not really clear.

Better off dead is by far my favorite 80's movie. Also John Cusack is still adorable. Also Some kind of wonderful is a great movie. Watson was way ahead of her time.
