Games That Lost Almost Their Entire Playerbase Within Months
video description
Titanfall was fun but I agree with all the pointers in this video - Titanfall 2 story is one of my fav story mode plays out there, by the end of it u really feel connected to the characters. Also PVP portion was lots of fun. I enjoyed it before switching.
Battleborn: never intended as a super successful game - basically Battleborn was released as a test for a brand new engine which further will be re-used for Borderlands 3 + make some in process.
Quick point I want to make: more and more games nowadays are being hyped up and released at a very poor quality with no refunds. I think it needs to stop - pre-orders and no refund policy allows them to pocket quickly with almost no consequence to a very poor final product quality. If developers would support even 1 week return policy it would make them think twice before releasing BS, specially since a lot of games nowadays don't even give u alpha and beta gameplays to test drive the product (like No Man's Sky. Yeah some people will say - of u probably can pass games in 1-2 days and be done with it - but it's not true. Most titles out there right now are MMOs - thousands of hours played by a single player. And think about it - clothes can be worn and returned, TVs watched and returned, pretty much ANYTHING. except for games/software. and this leads to a very poor quality standards and 0 responsibilities.

Evolve actually had me interested in it before release. I was frequently playing Monster Hunter 3 with my brother at the time and I thought it would be awesome to play something similar, only as the monster. Fortunately SimCity and the initial release of Final Fantasy 14 taught me a hard lesson about buying a game without trying it first or waiting for reviews, and I caught on that Evolve was just a DLC cash grab game with a 60 entry fee. I don't mind if a game has a cash shop, I don't mind if I have to pay 60 for a game, but I DO mind when something tries to have both, especially if it fails to deliver content worth shelling out for in the baseline experience.

Pokemon Go would've kept a larger playerbase if they didn't shut down apps and services that showed where specific Pokemon were spawning. I didn't mind walking around looking for things but I didn't have the same amount of time as many others did. So knowing where ones would spawn would limit wasted time and get me the stuff I wanted. And in actual Pokemon games Pokemon spawn in specific areas and people know where they are. Removing the apps and services essentially made Pokemon Go just a waste of time.

I love For Honor. well. I love the idea that is For Honor. The gameplay mechanics are amazing and has never been done before. I'm addicted to that style of gameplay. That being said the story was meh, but atleast it had one, the peer to peer is terrible, but those are literally my only issues.
I want a For Honor like game and until one comes out I don't think I can bring myself to get rid of it. Too many fps clones on the market, and For Honor brings some innovation imo.

Hate to admit but out of these I still have The Devision and Titanfall waiting in my huge pile of backlog games. wonder if the servers are even running anymore, when I would ever bother to finally pick them up.
Was at first going to buy For Honor as well for cheap price, but seeing how that game also not only lost its playerbase entirely but also lacked any further content (+ having joke of singleplayer, decided to pass on that as well as Evolve.

Lost of lies. reminds me why I've unsubbed, still I find this shit in the recommended section.
The division never had 2 mil payers, at most they had 114. 000 when it launched. It still runs with 4. 000 to 10. 000 on average which is a lot and normal for a game its size. I see most of your sources is hypman. should call himself bullcrapman.

Battleborn is what happens when you market your game vs another game by a bigger company with more experience in the industry and the simple fact that those two games aren't even similar.
Overwatch is similar to TF2 and Battleborn is more like a MOBA (escort minions to the portals, destroy Sentrys kill jungle mercenaries for buffs)

These games could solve most of their player base problems if Microsoft and Sony would just allow cross platform online play, and stop making single system exclusives (I'm looking at you Square-Enix making exclusives for both Playstation and XBox One while making horrible PC ports of old games and charging way too much for them)

Why is resident evil 7 on this? It's a horror game. Completely different than a live player vs player multiplayer. Horror games are for you to beat and get better after the first time. After that you don't come back until DLC. That's how almost all horror games are. Example, outlast 1, outlast 2,
