Vintage computer hardware, oddware, PC games, software, mechanical keyboards and calculators. You folks are great Darkfalz: I had a weird gamepad controller which which plugged into the AT kb socket with passthrough for your actual keyboard, and you could map any key to any button (I think it had a number of presets. It was really good for games with no native joystick support.
I have no idea where it is though. I don't remember throwing it out but I don't think it's in any of my storage boxes. It would have been a cool bit of oddware for you to review. I suppose once Joy2Key type software came out it wasn't required anymore.
Those were the days. Plus people writing DOS Joystick drivers for MS Sidewinders which were the best gameport based pads bar none (the USB version had a dodgy dpad though.

I had the Microsoft sidewinder voice back in the day. It was what you think it was - a hardware hub for your headset, enabling you to have sets of people you could talk to during a game, with all sorts of dumb shit that never took off. I used the headset for years though as it worked just fine for CS 1. 6
Microsoft mad all sots of weird gaming peripherals in the early 2000's. They had this RTS hand controller thing, and I also had the Force Feedback 2 which was an AMAZING joystick for mechwarrior 4.

9: 14 That's a Microsoft SideWinder Game Voice. It's meant to be used for voice chat. I have one, though I haven't found a good use for it. One of my -to do- projects is trying to write some software that would make use of it. The original MS chat software that came with it doesn't work anymore. (IIRC it relied on servers that were eventually shut down) Last time I tried it, a few years ago, TeamSpeak supported it, but I'm not sure if that's still true.

You should totally play Ringworld if you haven't already. There's also a Return 2 Ringworld game as well. Also Beneath a Steel Sky is another good point and click game
As a Canadian I have to say -electronics made in Canada. We did/do that sort of thing?
I wonder if that's one I played as a kid. My dad got a loan of a bunch of games from I think his computer savvy brother at the time and there was an old racing game among them.

LGR, I'm going to be real with you, man. When you ask about us being interested in reviews about certain items I know as far as I'm concerned the answer will always be yes. You could review a half eaten peach you found in the trash can and I would watch. Your personality and dat luscious voice of yours can make any vid a winner. Accept your gift, sir. Go forth and make the world a shinier place-

oooh. The original -Marine Sharpshooter-! If you haven't played it yet, I recommend it. It's as budget as all hell, but charming in a way, and the level design is quirky but decent. I had a lot of fun with that series back in he day (except for Marine Sharpshooter 4, which is the Worst Game Ever Made. 1, 2, and 3 were good budget titles. But the first one was actually designed with some heart.

You be carful with your wireless intelligent trackball collection; One day you have the -world-s largest wireless intelligent trackball collection-, The next you-re gathering every last one ever made, forming a cult of personality of sorts around these things. finally culminating in a pyramid in the middle of Nevada, made entirely out of wireless intelligent trackballs.

Definitely interested in a review of the adjustable desk. I am somebody that loves playing videogames but sometimes has back problems due to sitting etc and I have been thinking of getting something akin to this. What about yourself? Do you have any back issues related to sitting for prolonged periods?
Kind regards,
Chris
