How is this possible? Here in Latvia, a couple of years ago, we got the large German retailer - Lidl. Some weeks ago I heard that Arny. sorry, Mr. T2000 was chosen - as the new advertising face for the power tool brand Parkside. Now on every leaflet about new deals in Lidl - advertising impact wrenches, saws, air compressors and welders - I see the beautiful face of the Machine-Man from the year 2200. And more importantly - just now he publishes a book called SEVEN TOOLS FOR LIFE. Coincidence? THINK AGAIN! The seven tools are, once again - the impact wrench, the saw, the air compressor and four others tools. Well done, I'll be following this advice! Well done for Arnold, huge fan of his movies - as well of the fact that he aims to bring America together, rather than splitting it apart. Thanks for the interview and good luck to the Man Machine from Latvia.

Many partisan fights that surface to the top of cable news/social media are wedge issues designed to be divisive, so definitely if GOP politicians were more like Schwarzenegger we could focus more on these common-ground solutions like the funding for after-school programs he mentioned. I'd still have disagreements with him on larger-scale issues like healthcare, etc, but this certainly would do a lot to humanize the opposition. That being said, current ongoing efforts to (say) provide school lunches so kids don't go hungry are being actively opposed by GOP legislators, so I agree with Jimmy that the sane Republican Party that Schwarzenegger is hearkening back to is receding further and further back in time.

I keep repeating myself, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for this man. I don't lean conservative so I don't agree with some of his political views, but you can't argue that Schwarzenegger has led a life that's been more productive and successful than what anyone would think possible for themselves. Plus he still doesn't take himself too seriously and does seem to have remained a pretty down-to-earth guy, considering his wealth and success. During my years living in Munich, I had always hoped that I would run into him at Oktoberfest, just so that I could shake his hand and thank him for all the joy and entertainment he has given me and audiences all over the world.

I have his speech that was televised after January 6th on my laptop. Hearing him speak about what happened and his still steadfast belief in our country, ideals and history moved me to tears and made me feel much better. People say that he's not smart, I believe he's very intelligent and his patriotism will remain unmoved. We need to take that to heart and learn the lesson that we are all in this together, no matter our differences and we can climb out of the abyss that's been created by our politicians. In the end, folks, everything starts with us, the people and ends with us. I would vote for Governor Schwarzenegger for President in a heartbeat.

Arnold you're awesome: I encourage you to really research, especially as a Californian, how Raegan dismantled everything President Roosevelt built. Roosevelt supported helping his fellow mankind. Reagan seems to get a pass even though he took away so much funding for basic human rights. i would just love for once, just for ONCE, someone who had money and clout to do something to actually help people. help people regardless of what your judgement may be. that's what the Roosevelt I studied practiced.

Besides my fiction books lol, this is the 1st book I'm actually considering getting how can you not take advice and be inspired from a man with this many goals in life achieved solely by himself also so many times I've heard him speak his smart and inspiring I'm sure the book is as good as Arnie himself. This is a book i think many may need who are stuck in a little rut of the same thing day in and day out who might want a lil inspiration to change.

Love me some Arnie. However, the conservative mindset. I had my own business and I worked as a brick layer. We would say the job would cost 3000, but then come back and say only 2800 when it really only cost 2000. Why can't you just charge the person for the cost of supplies plus your time? You up-charged them for no reason other than you could get away with it. Conservatism is just another word for greed.

Not a great man anymore bc he f ck d the maid? Great Bill Burr segment on Arnold the international hero. I always liked him bc his sense of humor allowed him to laugh about himself wholeheartedly. He was the star in many big productions that were centered on entertainment and not teaching a lesson transporting the message like the more modern productions.

I love his idea of American being more cooperative than competitive. It's true that they often lose sight that both sides are American and want what they deem best for the country. Making people so divided only distracts people from what really matters.

I had to stop listening to Arnold about half way through the interview. When I look at him, I keep thinking of how poorly he treated his wife, Maria. She's so lovely & genuine, yet he betrayed her trust so blatantly for years. I don't need life advice from a guy like him.

Arnold is surprisingly charismatic. one of only a couple republicans that I would actually like to have a beer with. I wouldn't agree with him on a lot of things but I have respect for people who can come to the table with sincerity which seems increasingly rare

In 2004 I was the maintenance man in Sun Valley, Idaho at the ski resort just down the street from Arnold's home. He walked all over Sun Valley with both of his Sons long before the news broke. Arnold may not be a faithful husband but he indeed is a great Dad!
