It seemed at first more of a CGI video but got more and more cartoonish. The moving of the characters did not blend well with backgrounds. The voice-over was obscured by sounds like at 1: 17. missed the final word. other times the same happened. If you are going to stop a villain, why go at it alone, and bring explosives. and don't stand there explaining what you are there to do, just do it! yes, dramatical effect but seriously, I was detached from the video by then. wanted it to end. If there was one artifact, there were likely more - where's the cliff-hanger

Maybe I expect too much from transhuman elite soldiers of the future but like, you'd think they'd have a contingency built in for the occasional stab.
Like come on this is sci-fi here, show me these guys got blood nanites that harden in response to trauma, essentially turning their skin to living iron.
Or, you know, something. It's the future, they should not be duking it out with swords and pole arms like the knights of ye olden times.

I really try not to crap on other people's creative visons. but this was NOT good. The plot came across as written by either bad AI or some random 10 year old's vison of a Metroid vs Halo mashup. The plot was incredibly unoriginal and dull, while the dialogue was wholly uninspired and flat. all coming together for a weak story that has been done before countless times over the years.

Might as well have named the main character Johnny McBadass. Was this written by a child I understand you're newbie VFX artists, so the very generic designs and poor voice-over can be forgiven I guess. But at least try to put some effort into a cohesive and engaging story. There's also copius editing mistakes with sound level mixing that really should've been caught and fixed.

You know as much as I love your films this was not the best work you have done so many loop holes in story and the story itself is so repetative like A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO BEAT OTHER PEOPLE OR ELSE UNIVERSE IS DESTROYED there is just nothing to look for as we have seen so many of these stories

Definitely either camembert or taleggio. Excuse me whilst I put on my convincing gruff manly voice: It was the year 2025, and he knew it was stinky cheese, but his super enhanced nostrils could not discern which of the two choices it was. If only he were French or Italian.

Given that this was made during the dumpster fire that was 2020-2021 with a first-time director and other university students, this isn't that bad. Four years on, and I hope other, better projects have been completed by those involved in this short film.

AI garbage through and through, trained on all the wrong sources. Not a trace even of human input let alone human creativity. Hey DUST, I sure hope you're not using AI to vet your programming. Platforming junk AI like this will tank your base in a (Human) heartbeat

Incredible work. Animation and world building are truly next level, and the effort put into this during lockdown is inspiring. The Immortals vs. Ares storyline felt epic, and the visuals were stunning. Can’t wait to see what this team creates next.

You recommend what Nietsche described - will to power etc. You tell a heroic story of living triumphantly elsewhere, rather than here, modestly. You imagine a world of elite winners and the objects/animals/humans they use. This story poisons culture.

The voice work made me laugh, there is no discernible script, while some ship scenes looks cool, this would have been ok maybe 15 years ago. Dust should really not have included this. Is Dust going downhill have not watched them in awhile.

I was surprised to read the comment section and find out everyone basically thought the same things I did while watching this. Many of these privately made shorts have everyone raving about them when I thought it was not that good.

all comments below are accurate. this isnt the usual dust grade A approved film. story lacking, animation lacking, plot random, no heart or soul in this particular video. first time bored and paused on a dust video.

5: 08 Won't be long before Earth and it's people are destroyed. 5: 46 Bad guy is going to rule everyone. 6: 52 Humans will kneel before him or be crushed. I guess destroyed means something different in the future.

Lame. The video just did not add up. Humanity is at peace, but warriors are always fighting. I give this one a 0. 5 out of 10. Very poor storyline. Anamation was so 10 years ago as well.

I love all the fighter jet sounds. in space. Must be a simulation. The real humanity killed itself off in the mid 2050's fighting over who had the best mythological deity.
