So many levels:
The moral & ethical implications of becoming the first immortal human.
First, would only the rich have access to it
Also, living for an extremely long time may give rise to levels of cynicism never before encountered.
Another aspect to think of is the ability of Earth to feed billions of people that do not pass away naturally.
Myself, personally would only care to live 120, maybe 150 years at best (if quality of life permits.

Oh I can’t stand ppl like Harper. Overtly dramatic and destructive. Yeah by all means send off grand pa to the ’where old people go to die’ home, i’m sure hell be better off there than with his daughter creme of the crop medical research phd people dont even get that this isnt too far off but they never ever talk about in the media so its like it doesnt exist. We know all about rockets, the latest cell phones though.

Omg so well done. Deeply philosophical but with such an emotional twist. Brilliant as a stand alone short film. yet a part of me wants that to be a pilot for a series. Episode two starting with him saying sorry then breaking annas neck. then explaining why over her lifeless corpse. Something about the new world order indicating the other thing has taken over. I'm into B grade though. Your thing was definitely A grade. Thank you

Very well done short. I know the complexities of such research are hard to show, especially in a short film, but as I understand it telomere repair alone can lead to massive cancers. It would have been nice if something a bit more savvy was used for the science, or alternately if Dad came out being cogent, but covered with tumors, lol.

It's disheartening that even when a brilliant female scientist breaks the glass ceiling on being a borderline mad scientist on the verge of a planet-shattering discovery. there's still a whiney, needy, sniveling girlfriend who doesn't understand or have confidence in them, dragging them down!

Nice air embolism the daughter/researcher character administers to her father/patient at 2: 57. He'd be braindead from stroke and/or suffer fatal heart attack as a result, not made younger, standing up and talking at the end. Don't let an actor administer your injections! lol

I enjoy and look forward to these short film stories. It confirms what I have thought for a long time. Storytelling in film need not be a traditional two hour plus movie to keep an audience interested and can certainly impart an idea or theme in under twenty minutes. Thank you.

The film shows how the reach of a dream can still be sought regardless of the superiors decision and approval need not be secure. The biological work can be a reality and I am sure there are those chemists and scientists who pursue their interests in such possibilities.

There are therapies like that in real life, you have to search for them cause they are strongly opposed by the health industry mafia that rules the world through the WHO. Ozone therapy is one of such therapies, but for sure there are others and much more potent ones.

Loved this one. A complete story here. I especially love the moral to the story as I see it anyway. Believer or doubter Open sincere dialogue is an evolved state. Let's move towards that.

There was a new business created a short time ago called Altos Labs that would likely do research just like this. Cept. not in the living room. Love it.

Sadly I can see people like the wife having an issue with being self centered enough to put themselves over something that could cure millions.

Begs the question, why hasn't there been more research into telomeres and telomerase to extend longevity and reverse degenerative pathologies.

Death doesn't exist. We all are spirits embodied in flesh. So, just wait until your next life. No need to do science about immortality.

I love the ending I didnt expect it. I figured it would turn out all wonky, or do nothing at all just ruin her life.

Turn to DUST, and you're straight back to Wokeland. And as a bonus, the best sterile lab work I've ever seen.
