A shooting star falls down over the Arctic island of Svalbard and The Global Seed Vault gets an unexpected visitor. VOYAGER by Kjersti Helen Rasmussen Connect with the Filmmaker: VOYAGER Nearly every short film:
Looks great,
Fairly interesting set up,
ZERO pay off.
To be fair, this did escalate ok with the multiple clone men showing up, but, can I just have a short film with a setup, build and payoff! lol
A lot of the time these short films try to go big but as a result there is way too much context to fit into the run time, so the film stops instead of ending. This feels like the first 7 mins of a feature film thats been cut. It could be great, its just not a short film.

All was lost to humanity until the aliens had eaten their way into the Psilocybin mushrooms bens, peyote plants rows 6 thru 474, and the six hundred large jars marked Amsterdam's best. Most of the now naked aliens after loading their crafts, flew upside down into the sun making ooouh wow, yeah. sounds from their cavities.

This short is quite good. While It leaves a lot to the imagination of the viewer. At the same time it manages to deliver a cautionary statement with little dialog & minimal FX. The apparent lack of security at the vault is troubling though. I'd hope the real vault is a bit more prepared against infiltration.

You know, if you are a civilization capable of traveling through interstellar space over many light years quickly enough to still be alive by the time you get here, there is a very high probability that you can make a controlled landing on a planet without crashing into the ground as a fireball.

If we live in the multi universe and there are buzzilons of other universes then somewhere there is an exact copy of yourself right now duplication your current action but there is less than zero chance of your 2 selfs ever meeting this was my conclusion when I was fifteen

You think for such an important place, a repository for heirloom seeds to restart Humanity, that they would have a lot better security! Really come on! Quite possibly the existence of humans on the planet at stake, and you're telling me that security doesn't have guns
reply

Right at the beginning, the message sent out reminds me of 'How To Serve Humans - a cookbook' from Twilight Zone. Probably NOT a good message to send in hindsight. 'Have you eaten Come visit us if you have time' lol.
reply

Nonsense. The aliens are able to make the trip and take human form but then fail to knock, they land in the middle of nothing one by one, don silly raincoats and go pillaging seeds. Sure : -D

Unfortunately the video kept stalking and breaking up on me and was difficult to follow as a result. Did anyone else have that problem My wifi was/is perfect. Not at fault.

Hit the like button after 30 seconds. the setting was incredible. This is one of the best short 'stories' that has the imagination in overdrive. Superb. Thank You!

I guess it is easier nowadays to create beautiful CGI than to write a story that makes one appreciate the time spent watching this movie and not a thousand others.

We really must be careful how we phrase things, especially on the galactic stage! And what did he do to her, anyway Besides confirm her name was Ivy
reply

wow, lightheated at first, then just downright cosmic chilling occurs and we finally realize, shit. i think that will be that last humans word. .shit.

It was a bit of an open invitation for an alien vegetarian feast, they are everywhere even outside our neck of the woods it seems!
reply

perfect example of the paradox of tying to communicate with other worlds, you might just be inviting them to take us over or help us.
reply

Well, the people who sent Voyager on its way did so in the hope that something like this might happen. be careful what you wish for.

This quite possibly the best BASS test for any sound system ever known to man/ The HyperX Cloud S Orbit just made me drool.

OK, I GO TO SLEEP NOW!
At least this will take my mind off the global genocide, happening now. for a SHORT while.

Hate it when you invite someone for dinner and they eat all your seeds then regurgitate plants down your throat. So rude
reply

So. send out an intergalactic greeting and ANTIFA will show up to eat your seed vault.
Seems legit.

reply

I always thought spewing out the earth Cowardice to the vastness of space was a bad idea.
reply

Ok, after watching this makes complete sense, smorgasbord is a Scandinavian word. LOL
reply

Well. if they travel all that distance, communication will be the least of our worries.
reply

Great film. The picture at the end is the Pioneer Plaque, not the Voyager Plaque.
reply

Voyager must be the most irresponsible thing NASA ever did. Who knows what is outthere.
reply

I wonder. no, I HOPE they were sure to include picante flavored Corn Nuts in that thing.
reply

Brilliant, we sent a flyer out telling the universe we are an all you can eat buffet.
reply

I hope if we parish, aliens find the seed vault, and animal DNA including ours.
reply

the drawing shown at the end is not from the Voyager but from the Pioneer probes.
reply

Yawn, another warning about the perils of Voyager telling aliens where we are.
reply

NASA said. here we are. Aliens: Ah, lets go shopping for great deals on living flesh
reply

Wait. wait. Have you eaten yet! Voyager is inviting aliens to come EAT US!
reply

But to be fair, they didn’t come to eat us yet. And we did invite them.
reply

Don't you just hate it when company eats you out of house and home.
