I just kept shouting, Don't move, DON'T MOVE. And what did he do He moved, that brought the big lizard close to where he was. He took out his pin-prick of a knife, made a noise, and got the dino looking directly at him. He ran rather than fight, which took hime through the portal, and later the idiot had stayed in the same place right out in the open. We need to know who the idiot was, what training he had, why every one thinks dinos can be killed with standard firearms Cannons, yes, RPGs, yes, lasers, yes, but not rifles and pistols. Not a great subject to follow, especially now he has been eaten!

A bad thing about jw allosaurus, ceratosaurus, giganotosaurus and carnotaurus is they are only scary because they are fat and full of osteoderms that brings them a godzillian style that i don't hate, but is not good for medium sized dinosaurs, and is not bad for giganotosaurus, but also is kinda cursed think is a pure dna clone whent it's godzillian look is very unnatural at comparasion of the dino dna secuenze is not finnished and we use frog dna to complete the code of other dinos like t-rex, or allosaurus.
So maybe it could be better option an scientifically acurate allosaurus

I like the story & always commend those that are out there making there own thing. So good for you, bravo.
But can i just say from a personal stand.
Plots in movies when all the protagonist has to do is BE QUIET! and they do something like move or breath heavy & inevitably draw the attention of the other.
Maybe instead, when the Dino hoped on the log it could've displaced something that lands on our man & forces him to move or make a sound. (For example)
For me a unforced natural solution sets scenes apart from the normal by the book suspenseful moment.

Not to be rude but allosaurus actually lived in the Morrison formation, not the hell creek formation, hell creek is where the preserved fossils of Tyrannosaurus, triceratops, ankylosaurus, dakotaraptor, edmontosaurus, quetzalcoatlus, alamosaurus, pachycephalosauurs, and many others, and the Morrison formation is the place where the fossils of allosaurus are located, and many other dinosaurs like stegosaurus, ceratosaurus, torvosaurus, camptosaurus, dryosaurus, saurophaganax and many others.

I'd like to thank the person in your production team for selecting the US Navy Mk 2 knife, more commonly known as the Ka-Bar and issued to the US Marines, as your knife of choice in this film. They couldn't have picked a better fighting knife in my opinion. My Dad carried one in Vietnam (which I still have) and I carried one in Iraq and Afghanistan. Awesome knife with many decades of history in many theaters of war around the world.
Also, great film. I only wish it was longer.

Excellent! Opening the doors to an authentic-appearing and detailed view of the time. and the biota. just imagine the terrors. (think external parasites jumping off a large predatory theropod. and chasing smaller human prey. like the Cloverfield idea.

Why does every monster roar while hunting what animal tells everyone within a miles radius that its out there looking for lunch.
Making noise has a reason and its not to warn the prey its there.

Theropods actually had forward facing eyes and very good eyesight. It wouldn't have needed to find it's head sideways to see him. I admit it's good for dramatic effect but not really necessary.
